Story
Come snuggle a Puggle! What’s a Puggle, you ask? It’s what happens when a Beagle and a Pug collaborate on a masterpiece. You get the Beagle’s curiosity and merry little nose for adventure, mixed with the Pug’s devotion and smooshed-in little nose for snorting. In other words, you get 24 pounds of compact charisma.Meet Cheeto -- two years old, healthy, and absolutely fabulous.Cheeto is affectionate in that “I would like to sit on you now, thank you” kind of way. He is playful without being chaotic. He loves fetch -- and here’s the plot twist -- he actually brings the ball back. Repeatedly. On purpose. He’s also highly food-motivated. And by “highly,” we mean he considers snacks a core life philosophy. Treats are his love language. Kibble is his currency. No matter what you offer, Cheeto is ready to admire your culinary genius. At two years old, he’s past the tiny-tornado puppy stage but still fully committed to fun. He’s the perfect blend of playful and snuggly -- equally prepared for a backyard game of fetch or an evening of serious couch time. Now for the part we can’t quite explain. Cheeto showed up as a stray in great shape. Clearly cared for. Clearly loved at some point. Housetrained. Polite. The kind of dog who knows how to live in a home. And somehow… never reclaimed. Which is baffling. So now he’s ours -- and ready to be yours. If you’ve been waiting for a small, sturdy, sweet-faced sidekick with a Beagle brain and a Pug heart, your orange-hued destiny has arrived.Come meet Cheeto. He’ll bring the ball. You bring the snacks.Animal Aid Society is located at 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA. Visiting hours are 9am to noon, daily, including weekends & holidays.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Story
Meet Stormy a female spayed, 10 month old Pug/Malinois mix. Yes you did read that correctly pug and malinios mix. While Stormy is a mix of two very different breeds we are asking her future family have experience with high energy canines and not be first time adopters. She has also undergone FHO surgery and her family will need to make sure they are able to come to our clinic for further physical therapy or can follow up with a recommended clinic. Stormy had her FHO on 1/7/26 and was in foster during this time for her recovery. Her foster found that she loved cream cheese and some good snuggles. Her foster also instructed that little Stormy will need sturdy toys in her future home as she really likes to pull the squeaker out of soft ones. So supervised times with toys will be important in her future home. While it may be scary adopting a canine with some medical issues our vets are confident this should not hinder Stormy in anyway. She will need continued physical therapy which most of which can be done in the home after meeting and discussing with her surgeon. This will be scheduled once her adoption has been completed. We will also require children 6 and up and if you have any canines in the home they will need to do a dog to dog introduction prior to adoption as well. If you would like to meet with this unique and special girl please speak with our kennel team and they will be happy to help!
