Story
Meet Tommy – A Sweet Senior Looking for Love Tommy is an 8-year-old male Beagle who came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and he’s ready to find a soft place to land and a heart to call home. This gentle boy has the soulful eyes and quiet charm that only come with age. He’s calm, affectionate, and would love nothing more than a peaceful home where he can enjoy the simple pleasures in life—sunny spots for naps, slow walks, and cozy cuddles. Tommy is looking for someone who’s willing to open their heart to a senior dog and give him the love and comfort he deserves. While he may have a few medical concerns that come with age, he still has plenty of love to give. If you’re interested in learning more about his health or how to support his needs, our staff will be happy to talk you through everything. He may be in his golden years, but Tommy’s heart is full and ready to love. Come meet this sweet boy and see just how much joy a senior pup can bring to your life. 🧡🐾

King Rex is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Rex is a lovable, lazy and chunky pug! He could use a little more exercise, but otherwise the couch life is more his style! He is good with other dogs an overall chill fella! He loves people and is content to chill at their feet throughout the day. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Meet Sara – Your Sweet, Loving, and Cuddle-Loving Chi-Pug! Sara is a Chihuahua-Pug mix with a sweet and affectionate personality. She loves people and adores cuddling up with her humans. Her gentle energy and loving nature make her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and snuggly friend. Like all puppies, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Sara valuable learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Sara is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $600.00. Sara is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so she wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate for Sara, please fill out an application for her adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at: RescueTailsAnimalWelfare@gmail.com. If you aren’t looking to adopt but still would like to help Sara, please consider a donation for her food, housing, and veterinary care.
