Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Blue Razz #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Blue Razz | 3-month-old Chihuahua Corgi (Chicorgi) | Tiny body, big personality Blue Razz is a 3-month-old Chicorgi weighing just 6½ pounds, but don’t let his size fool you — this stout little low rider has a personality far bigger than his tiny frame. With his sleek black coat and expressive face, he’s equal parts adorable and entertaining. He enjoys short bursts of zoomies around the yard or house, followed by a well-earned nap. He is more couch companion than marathon runner and will not be scaling any 14ers, but he is always up for playtime before settling in to relax. Blue Razz is still starting from scratch with housetraining. When he needs to go out, he runs around sniffing and circling, so his future family will need to stay consistent and patient as he learns the routine. He has not yet started leash walks since he was only recently fully vaccinated. He does very well in his pen or crate, sleeps soundly through the night, and settles after some initial protesting when left alone. He has been left home for 4–6 hours with other dogs in the house and does fine once he calms down. Though tiny, Blue Razz is mighty. He is fully incorporated into the household pack and loves playing with much larger puppies, confidently holding his own. He also enjoys wrestling with his smaller sister. He has had positive interactions with dogs, cats, and children of all ages. He does not show a preference for men or women and happily accepts affection from everyone. This sweet, playful boy loves toys and absolutely adores chewing on bones. He is motivated by food, toys, and affection. One of his cutest habits is riding contentedly in a sling, and he sometimes sleeps flat on his back with his legs stretched out in total relaxation. Blue Razz does appear to experience some separation anxiety. If he knows his people are nearby but cannot access them, he may vocalize loudly before eventually settling. Because of this, he would do best in a home with someone who works from home or can provide plenty of companionship and structure. He may not be ideal for apartment living unless his vocal tendencies are actively addressed with training. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog and would do well with children, provided younger kids are taught to handle a small puppy gently. Blue Razz is ready to write his next chapter with a family who will appreciate his big feelings, playful spirit, and endlessly entertaining personality. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along.
