Mika is a precious senior girl who has spent her entire life with the same loving person. Sadly, her person recently had to move into assisted living and Mika could not go along. Through no fault of her own, this sweet girl is now hoping someone will open their heart and give her another chance at a home.
Despite the big changes in her life, Mika has been incredibly gentle and well behaved in the shelter. She is quiet, easygoing, and very polite, doing her best to keep her kennel as clean as she can. It’s clear that she has been a well-loved companion and understands how to live peacefully in a home.
Mika is house trained, good with children, dog friendly, and even cat friendly, making her a wonderful fit for many different families. She doesn’t ask for much — just a comfortable place to rest, a little kindness, and someone to share her days with.
After spending 12 years being someone’s loyal companion, Mika deserves to spend her senior years in a warm home with a soft bed, loving hands, and a family who will cherish her. She still has so much love to give and is waiting patiently for someone to give her that second chance.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
