Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Story
The Sweetest Belle of the Ball If you are looking for a tiny, shadow-shaped best friend who will love you with every ounce of her soul, meet Kora Belle! At just one year old and a perfectly portable 15 pounds, Kora Belle is the ultimate pocket-sized companion. Kora Belle has never met a stranger. She absolutely adores everyone she meets, and her tail is always wagging and ready to make new friends. She is currently living with a pack of foster dog siblings and gets along famously with all of them. She is also mostly housetrained and working hard to perfect her routine! The Couch & Bed Requirements (Non-Negotiable!) Kora Belle isn't just looking for a house; she is looking for a cuddle sanctuary. She has two very important rules for her forever family: The Couch Rule: She must be allowed to snuggle right next to you (or on top of you) while you watch TV or relax. The Bed Rule: She must sleep under the covers (or right against you) in the big bed at night. If you are looking for an independent dog who sleeps on the floor, Kora Belle is politely passing. She is a true velcro Pug who thrives on physical closeness and warmth. The Perfect Match Kora Belle’s absolute dream home is one where someone is home a lot. Because she is so young and so deeply affectionate, she wants a family who can shower her with the time, love, and attention she deserves. Whether you work from home, are retired, or just have a homebody lifestyle, you'll be her perfect match. Are you ready to share your heart, your couch, and your bed with this precious little lady? Kora Belle is waiting to meet you! Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Lola Jean and Angus Daniel are a bonded 2-year-old pair who are looking for a home together, where they can continue to thrive side by side. Lola Jean is a female Bulldog mix with a fun, enthusiastic personality. She is food motivated (she LOVES her treats!!) and enjoys learning and engaging with people. She has moderate to high energy and can get very excited when heading somewhere she’s interested in, which can lead to some strong pulling on leash. In her kennel, she has been reliable and has not had accidents. Angus Daniel is a 2-year-old Scottish Terrier mix who tends to be more calm and easygoing. He walks very well on leash and has a relaxed presence overall. He is still working on consistency with potty habits and may occasionally have accidents in his kennel, but he is continuing to improve. Together, Lola Jean and Angus Daniel bring out the best in each other. They are both noticeably more settled, confident, and content when they are together, and their bond provides them with comfort and balance. They are looking for a home that can welcome them both and continue supporting their individual needs while celebrating the strong connection they share. Lola Jean currently weighs about 42lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 08/16/02023), and her adoption fee is $315. Lola Jean has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Lola Jean, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Toby – The King of the Castle in Training Toby is a 3-year-old Chi/Pug mix with a big personality packed into a small body. He believes every castle needs a king, and he's more than willing to apply for the position! While Toby would love to run the household, he truly thrives when his people provide clear boundaries, structure, and consistent expectations. This handsome little guy has an expressive face that often looks concerned, but don't be fooled—it's mostly part of his charm. Underneath that serious expression is a loving, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. Toby enjoys being the center of attention and would do best in a home without cats. He can live with other dogs, but he prefers canine companions who are confident, sturdy, and able to handle his enthusiastic personality. Because Toby likes to be in charge, he is not a good match for small, frail, or senior dogs. With guidance, routine, and loving leadership, Toby relaxes into a wonderful companion. He's always up for an adventure, especially once he realizes the car isn't headed to the vet! Whether he's riding shotgun on a road trip or curled up beside you on the couch, Toby is happiest when he's sharing life with his favorite humans. If you're looking for a loyal little sidekick with a big heart, a touch of royal confidence, and plenty of love to give, Toby may be the perfect addition to your family. ##2535572##

Story
Budha - ID# 14551 - Kennel #18 - Arrived June 3rd (Stray) - American Pit Bull Terrier Mix - White and Grey - Male - 2 Years 7 Months Old - 45 lbs - Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Budha is a two-and-a-half-year-old white and grey American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a bold brown patch over one eye, stunning blue-grey eyes, and a face so distinctive and handsome that he is impossible to forget. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on June 3rd, and this cute, playful boy is now waiting for someone to see exactly what a find he is. That one-of-a-kind face alone is enough to stop anyone in their tracks. Budha loves to play ball, already knows sit and stay, and is full of the joyful, enthusiastic energy that makes a young dog such a pleasure to be around. He pulls with some gusto on leash - but for a playful, energetic dog who has been living as a stray and is now cooped up in a kennel most of the day, that enthusiasm for the outside world makes complete sense. With consistent positive reinforcement and the freedom of a real home routine, his leash manners will come together nicely. At two and a half years old Budha is right in his prime - past the most unpredictable puppy moments and fully grown into the handsome, good natured dog he is today. He has energy, he has charm, and he has a face that is genuinely unlike any other. Budha is a playful, striking, sweet natured boy who deserves a home that will appreciate every unique thing about him. He is waiting in Kennel #18 with that unforgettable face and his favorite ball, ready to be somebody's devoted companion. Come meet him - those blue-grey eyes and that bold brown patch will stay with you long after you leave. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Nova - ID# 19544 - Kennel #59 - Arrived June 2nd - American Pit Bull Terrier Mix - Black and White - Female - 8 Months Old - 24 lbs - Estimated Adult Weight 35-45 lbs - Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Nova is an eight-month-old black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix with large expressive ears, a bold black patch over one eye, and a face so distinctive and adorable it is genuinely impossible to walk past without stopping. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 2nd and has been waiting - and waiting - for someone to see her. She is tiny, she is precious, and she is currently tucked into a kennel built for a much bigger dog, which may be exactly why she keeps getting overlooked. That ends now. Nova sits and lays down on command, is attentive, eager to please, and has been described as cute as a button and sweet as pie - and every single word of that is an understatement. At just 24 lbs and eight months old she is still growing, with an estimated adult weight of 35 to 45 lbs - a small to medium sized girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. At eight months old Nova is right at the most exciting stage of puppyhood - past the tiniest baby moments and stepping into the dog she is going to be, with her whole wonderful life ahead of her. She is smart, she is willing, and she is the kind of puppy who will reward every bit of love and training with absolute devotion. Nova has been patient. She has been sweet. She has sat in that big kennel and waited for someone to really look at her - and she deserves that person to walk through the door today. She is waiting in Kennel #59 with those enormous ears and that bold little eye patch, ready to be somebody's whole world. Come find her - she has been waiting long enough.
