Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

He’s an excellent walker on a leash and he’s learning commands. Story
A WONDERFUL DOG FRIEND: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi there, I’m Vivian! I’m a darling dog who found myself in need of a new home and I’m grateful that Mostly Mutts has taken me in to help me do just that. I loved my time with the wonderful volunteers and am now having a great time in my wonderful foster home!    ·   OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I’m enjoying the friendly dog in my foster home, so if you have a friendly dog at home already, let’s meet! / I’m very interested in the kitty in my foster home. I haven’t chased him, but I do try to sniff him. All cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I enjoy the kids that are 6-15 years old in my foster home, so if you have sweet kids these ages, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.     ·   PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sweet, happy, and loving girl who’s an absolute delight to be around! I’m very cuddly and am so happy when I’m being petted and loved on. I’m also fun, active, and curious, enjoying the chance to explore my surroundings and sniff everything I can. I was a little unsure of the bath sprayer, but I stayed calm and did very well, looking up with my adorable seal-pup eyes that are sure to melt your heart. I’m a wonderful companion who’s ready to share lots of love, cuddles, and happy moments with my forever family. / Energy level: 4-6.    ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command so far and I’m sure you can teach me lots more. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / My crate manners were good at Mostly Mutts, and I sleep well overnight in my crate in my foster home. / My potty manners were good on the shelter schedule, with only a few accidents, and they have been good in my foster home.      ·   LIKES/DISLIKES: I love cuddling, sharing sweet kisses, and getting head and bottom scratches from my people. Tasty treats are always appreciated, and I enjoy playing with my doggy friends too. I also love going on outings—I had a wonderful time visiting the Smith-Gilbert Gardens—and I ride very well in the car, so I’d be happy to tag along on your adventures. / I can be startled by sudden movements towards me or loud noises, so I appreciate when people move slowly and gently around me. Things like quickly reaching for my leash or the sound of the garage door can make me nervous, but with patience and reassurance, I continue to gain confidence. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. ·   MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family that will treasure me! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 15, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Lola Jean and Angus Daniel are a bonded 2-year-old pair who are looking for a home together, where they can continue to thrive side by side. Lola Jean is a female Bulldog mix with a fun, enthusiastic personality. She is food motivated (she LOVES her treats!!) and enjoys learning and engaging with people. She has moderate to high energy and can get very excited when heading somewhere she’s interested in, which can lead to some strong pulling on leash. In her kennel, she has been reliable and has not had accidents. Angus Daniel is a 2-year-old Scottish Terrier mix who tends to be more calm and easygoing. He walks very well on leash and has a relaxed presence overall. He is still working on consistency with potty habits and may occasionally have accidents in his kennel, but he is continuing to improve. Together, Lola Jean and Angus Daniel bring out the best in each other. They are both noticeably more settled, confident, and content when they are together, and their bond provides them with comfort and balance. They are looking for a home that can welcome them both and continue supporting their individual needs while celebrating the strong connection they share. Lola Jean currently weighs about 42lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 08/16/02023), and her adoption fee is $315. Lola Jean has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Lola Jean, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Miss Priss is a great dog. I adopted her when she was around the age of 2 and I have had her for 8 years. Due to my job I am unable to keep her. She is good with kids but will try to hump them :/ She is good with larger dogs or puppies but she doesn’t like small yippee adult dogs. She is very protective of the ones she loves. Miss Priss is very chill and loves to sleep. She will want to sleep in your bed and under the covers. She normally works her way out from under the covers at night but sometime will want back under. She eats a specific dog food from Chewy that does need a prescription but once you have it you can use the same prescription indefinitely. You may be able to take mine but not sure how that works. She does require washing/cleaning in her wrinkles and crevices. I wish I could keep her but I need to do what’s best for her.

Story
Budha - ID# 14551 - Kennel #18 - Arrived June 3rd (Stray) - American Pit Bull Terrier Mix - White and Grey - Male - 2 Years 7 Months Old - 45 lbs - Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Budha is a two-and-a-half-year-old white and grey American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a bold brown patch over one eye, stunning blue-grey eyes, and a face so distinctive and handsome that he is impossible to forget. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on June 3rd, and this cute, playful boy is now waiting for someone to see exactly what a find he is. That one-of-a-kind face alone is enough to stop anyone in their tracks. Budha loves to play ball, already knows sit and stay, and is full of the joyful, enthusiastic energy that makes a young dog such a pleasure to be around. He pulls with some gusto on leash - but for a playful, energetic dog who has been living as a stray and is now cooped up in a kennel most of the day, that enthusiasm for the outside world makes complete sense. With consistent positive reinforcement and the freedom of a real home routine, his leash manners will come together nicely. At two and a half years old Budha is right in his prime - past the most unpredictable puppy moments and fully grown into the handsome, good natured dog he is today. He has energy, he has charm, and he has a face that is genuinely unlike any other. Budha is a playful, striking, sweet natured boy who deserves a home that will appreciate every unique thing about him. He is waiting in Kennel #18 with that unforgettable face and his favorite ball, ready to be somebody's devoted companion. Come meet him - those blue-grey eyes and that bold brown patch will stay with you long after you leave. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
