Story
Peanut – ID# 22085 – Kennel 311 – Arrived September 10th, 2026 – Chihuahua mix (Pug/Chihuahua look) – tan – Female – 5 years old – 20 lbs – Spayed – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Peanut is a sweet, sturdy girl with a warm tan coat and an expressive, endearing face that blends a bit of Chihuahua with a distinctly Pug-like charm. Her compact, chunky build gives her an especially huggable presence. Peanut's previous owner simply didn't have the time to give her the attention she needed, so she's come to the shelter looking for her people. The transition has left her a little confused, but she remains a sweet and affectionate girl at heart. Peanut is dog friendly and good with children, making her a great fit for a variety of households. A little extra activity and mindful portions could help her trim down over time, though there's nothing that dims her sweet nature in the meantime. Peanut is ready to find the family who will give her the time, attention, and love she's been missing. She's more than ready to settle in and become someone's devoted, cuddly companion once again. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Story
Freya is the daughter of Gypsy & is bonded with her. This sweet bonded pair loves nothing more than hanging out together. Most days, you’ll find them lounging on their dog beds in the office, hoarding toys, sunbathing, or exploring the yard. They are just the sweetest girls. They will occasionally bark at me when they get excited for their dinner or when I first come home. It is excitement. Freya is Gypsy’s biological daughter. They’re also on Simparica Trio, which works best for them since Gypsy has a flea allergy. Gypsy does have a cherry eye—our vet says it isn’t painful and doesn’t require surgery unless it worsens. They’re housebroken as long as they’re let out on a regular schedule. At night, they sleep peacefully on their beds. While they’re reliable, they may occasionally use a puppy pad if one is available in the home.

Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Mason is totally housebroken, gets along with other dogs, super sweet and loves to cuddle. He is such a good boy his only downfall is he’s a little shy of people at first. He’s an excellent walker on a leash and he’s learning commands. Mason is a Husky / Shihtzu - Chihuahua mix with short legs and weighs about 30 pounds.  His birthdate is around September 2022. ##1698992##

Story
Meet my sweet 7-year-old pug! 🐾 His birthday is December 12, 2018. I brought him home from Mexico when he was just a puppy, and he has been such a loving part of my life ever since. Due to life circumstances I’m no longer able to give him a life he deserves. He is very friendly, calm, and laid-back. He’s the perfect chill companion and loves attention and affection. ❤️ As a pug, he does require regular care and maintenance, as well as someone who is willing to give him the time and attention he deserves. I’m looking for a loving, responsible home where he will be well cared for and treated like family.
