Story
AN ACTIVE & FUN-LOVING GAL:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 27 lbs.  Hi, I’m Maybelle!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control when I was very pregnant!  Thankfully, I went into a great foster home and had 10 puppies!  I’ve finished my mommy duties, all my pups have been adopted and now it’s my turn!  I’m excited and hopeful that I’ll find a wonderful family who will call me their own very soon and love me furever!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with another dog and have met dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster home and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met kids ages 6-14 on a spend-the-night with a volunteer and I was very sweet with them, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:   I’m an amazingly sweet, lovable girl with an adorable personality and a zest for life that’s hard to miss.  Since weaning my puppies, I seem ready to cut loose and enjoy being a dog again!  I may have been on my own for a while before animal control picked me up, so home life may still be somewhat new to me, but I’m embracing it with enthusiasm.  I’ll likely need my new family to help me learn what’s my toy and what is not.  I love to play, sniff, and explore the world around me and I’m not as vocal as most Beagles.  I get quite energetic and love interaction and fun but after some good exercise, I can decompress and settle down.  I was a perfect angel for my bath - calm, cooperative, and just the sweetest the entire time.  I’m a wonderful girl who would thrive with a family that enjoys playing, exploring, and sharing life’s adventures with me. / Energy level: 6-8, sometimes higher, so I’ll want regular activity/exercise with my new family.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have learned the ‘come’ command so far and I look forward to learning a lot with my trainer!  Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, though I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home. / I’m having accidents on the shelter schedule as well as in a temp. foster home I visited, so I’ll need your help to finish my potty training.      • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love treats, people, toys, and just about everything that makes life fun!  Whether I’m spending time with my family, making new friends, exploring, or enjoying a tasty snack, I approach life with enthusiasm and a happy spirit.  I simply love having fun and making the most of every day! / Not getting enough exercise and interaction would make me unhappy.  Other than that, I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’m a lovable, active and wonderful dog looking for the same in my new family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 21, 2026, 6:47 am

Story
A WONDERFUL PUPPY FRIEND:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 9 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Willow!  I’m a darling little puppy who came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a wonderful home and family to raise me! I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find that family - I think that’s the best news ever!  Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m an adorable puppy with a sweet, fun and spunky personality! I’m always ready to play and have fun. I was quite the character during my bath, wiggling this way and that with endless puppy energy. Like many puppies, I’m currently sporting my sharp little puppy teeth, so I’ll need my new family to teach me what’s appropriate to chew as I grow. I’m the cutest, spunkiest girl and can’t wait to share all my puppy adventures with my new family! / Energy level: approx. 5-7 though this could change as I grow up.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s do some training together once I’ve had all my puppy shots. / You can crate train me. / I’m just a baby, so I’ll  need my new family to teach me all about potty manners. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention, people, and all the fun that comes with being a puppy! Playing, exploring, making new friends, and being part of the action are some of my favorite things. I’m sure we’ll discover lots of things we’ll enjoy doing together once I’m in my new home. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, though like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then we could be a good match!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 21, 2026, 6:47 am

Story
We adopted Colsen from a rescue agency in 2022. He was already a senior dog. We believe he is around 11 or 12, but still lots of life. He is always wagging his tail. He is really sweet and affectionate -- loves attention. And he is pretty low maintenance. He is house trained, but he is a beagle - so he has all the common traits of a beagle: always looking for food, a real escape artist, a lot of barking if he picks up the scent of something. We think he was probably a hunting dog in his previous life. When he's not exploring, he's pretty much a couch potato. We would love to find him a loving, chill home. He gets along well with other dogs and kids older than toddler age. He is not aggressive at all, but he can get a little spooked if an unpredictable toddler is getting in his business. He has snapped at a toddler before who he felt threatened by. Our family has a toddler now, and it is tough to keep them separated all the time.

Story
Charlie came home with us from the Douglasville Animal Shelter in spring 2022 and has been a good boy ever since. He’s a beagle/hound mix with a laid-back personality. He has his energetic moments but is just as happy curled up next to you on the couch. He does have some anxiety and tends to be clingy, which honestly just means he loves his person and wants to stay close. He’s been through dog training, so he’s not starting from zero, but he needs someone who’s owned dogs before and knows how to give an anxious pup the patience and consistency he needs to feel secure. If you’re an experienced dog owner with time and space for a loyal, affectionate dog, Charlie would be lucky to find you.

Story
Carl is a 1 yr old sweet energetic boy that loves people. Unfortunately with our new move and change in work schedules, he has backslid into old habits that do not make us suitable owners for him. I take 100% ownership in this and know I don't have the time to give him that he deserves. He will thrive and be much happier with a family that can be attentive to his needs and I am positive that he will be an excellent companion.

Story
We found Onyx Obsidian on the street when he was a baby. After seeing if he belonged to anyone we took him home ,& have been investing in making sure he’s healthy. (he’s 3yrs, 1/18/23) Once comfortable we noticed he has bad separation anxiety, to where he becomes quite stressed. My career causes for me to travel too often for him to be as active as he needs, & at 1st that was our obstacle. However, Oct 2024-April 2025 I wasn't able to walk after being in a car accident; & that hindered the progress we made in his routine. He’s such a sweet boy, protective, & actually asks like a cat; which always makes me laugh. His fun facts: he’ll lay next to you when you’re crying, he's very athletic, &all he wants is someone to give him attention/cuddles. In a new home I want: someone who will keep him SAFE/STABLE, a home w/ a fenced in backyard for him to play(run freely 20+ mins), & if you have children/friendly fur babies even better as he's learning social skills. (will provide crate/safe toys)
