Story
Age: 2.5 years old Weight: 40 lbs. Dog friendly: Yes, needs another confident dog in his home Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Meet Armstrong! This 2.5-year-old, 40-pound Labradoodle is a sweet and sensitive soul looking for a very special forever home. Armstrong is house trained, crate trained, and full of potential—but he needs a patient and experienced adopter who’s ready to go at his pace. Armstrong can be shy, skittish, and slow to warm up, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and playful personality shines. He absolutely loves to run and play, especially with another confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes. A securely fenced yard (minimum 6 feet) is a must, as Armstrong is a known flight risk. He is not a candidate for apartment or shared-wall living. This boy thrives with minimal kennel time and would do best in a calm home where he can continue building confidence and trust through consistent training and routine. In the right environment, Armstrong blossoms into a loyal, loving companion. If you’re ready to earn the love of a special pup who needs a little extra time—but gives a whole lot in return—Armstrong might just be your perfect match. Adoption Fee: $795

Story
Little Coco, all 10 lbs of her, is a breeder release that spent her entire 8 years of life having puppies, but now she will get the life of leisure she deserves. Coco was spayed, had all BUT 5 teeth removed ( so soft food for this little lady) and cataract in her left eye. That hasn't stopped her at all from exploring her brand new world. Coco likes her space, but will slowly approach humans and like her chin scratched. She is doing great with potty outside, however she really doesn't have indicators so I will pick her up and bring her outside when my resident dog wants to go outside and she is successful going potty. Coco will just ignore my resident cat, so yay! Coco, I think will do great in a house with another dog, so she can learn how to be a dog and or a family that will be patient with her so she can get used to the good life and realize that she is free to be herself. Coco is very sweet and gentle and a poodle, who doesn't love a poodle? You will just love her! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org.T Turnip – Your Future Velcro Companion! Currently seeking a foster or forever home Poodlix | Neutered Male | ~1 year old | 8 lbsTurnip is a sweet, affectionate pup who’s all about his favorite human — if you’re looking for a loyal shadow, Turnip is your guy! He bonds closely with one person and becomes anxious when separated, so he’d do best with someone who's home most of the day or can include him in daily activities. Ideal Home:A calm household where he can be the center of attentionPreferably an only dog or with a very low-energy dog. Someone home more often than not (remote worker, retiree, etc. ) Patient, understanding adopter willing to continue potty training and build his confidence Social & Playful:Gets along well with other dogs and cats. Can be a little possessive over toys or treats with other dogs, but has never bitten. Enjoys dog parks and meeting new people Loves cuddling, following his person around, and even watching TV!  Health: Had FHO surgery on his rear left leg; occasional limping or hopping is normal and expected — he's not in pain Requires regular grooming to prevent matting  Other Notes: Sleeps well overnight in his crate Crating for long hours during the day is not ideal — he needs companionship  Learning “sit” and has pretty good recall Eats better when someone keeps him company Can be barky at times (including barking at the TV!) Turnip is a loving, quirky little companion who would thrive in a calm, caring home where he gets the attention and reassurance he craves. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly sidekick who will adore you endlessly — Turnip may be your perfect match.  Interested in fostering or adopting Turnip? Contact us today!  https://www.rescuecrew.org/how-to-become-a-foster.html Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.     The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2562958##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Bitsy is a soft-hearted mini poodle with a gentle spirit and a quiet charm. Weighing around 15 pounds and estimated to be about 3 and a half years old, Bitsy is soaking up the comfort of a calm, safe home—something she may be experiencing for the first time. She’s incredibly well-mannered and has had perfect potty habits from the start, always going outside when carried to the yard. While she’s still gaining confidence, Bitsy is already showing signs of trust, happily resting in her cozy bed and allowing gentle handling, even during bath time. She’s not quite sure what to make of toys or treats just yet, but every day she’s learning and observing. Bitsy gets along with calm, respectful dogs, though she would likely prefer a peaceful home where she can be the center of someone’s quiet world or share space with a gentle canine companion. She hasn’t had much experience with leashes or exploring new environments, so a fenced yard is a must while she continues to build confidence. What Bitsy lacks in boldness, she makes up for in sweetness. She’s a soft, soulful girl who is ready to bond with someone patient and loving. With a little time and a lot of love, Bitsy will absolutely bloom into the loyal, affectionate companion she was always meant to be. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Nora is a sweet, playful, somewhat timid, little  Bichon poodle mix. She is amazing with kids and plays very well with other dogs. She can keep up with my hound mix, no problem! We have chickens and ducks, and she plays and chases them as well :) Nora has not met any cats, so I don’t know how she would interact but she seems to love just about everything. She doesn’t bark much, only when she has the zoomies and finds a toy that she likes! She responds to her name and is learning to sit. Nora sleeps great in her kennel night. She does tend to whine for a few minutes when she first gets in, but then settles in for the night. Potty training is going well but it is an on going process :) She would be such a good addition to any family! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $950.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2025, 1:58 pm
