Meet Home Run, HomeRun is a 8 and ½ year old Rat Terrier/ Dachshund mix that is a little shy at first but once he warms up to you, he is full of joy and a zest for life. He is smart and athletic, ready to be a hard-working partner. He excels at learning quickly and will capture your heart with his little head wobble. HomeRun has socialized with other dogs, but is shy of other people, and he has not met any cats yet. He needs a family that will give him what he needs to find his way. He would greatly enjoy a fenced yard so he can play safely as much as he wants, zipping around with his toys or just being silly. HomeRun came to us from a fellow rescuer. He would like a plan if there are longer workdays, so he is not spending too much time in a crate. HomeRun is full grown at about 12lbs. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.

Peter is neutered, vaccinated, healthy, house-trained, loving, intelligent, and steadfast. He weighs around 8 pounds. Louie, Louie-Lou-I, oh oh, we love you so! Louie may as a well be Knighted, he's a real gentleman and even though we are biased, we know you too won't be able to deny how special he is! Louie came to us from an over-crowded shelter with a broken heart and a few medical needs; which are all taken care of now. Louie is the sweetest and most easygoing little old man. He is deaf, and missing an eye, and most of this teeth -- but none of his sweet personality! He loves to spend his days napping, and taking breaks to wake up and get some snacks and cuddles. He is the perfect dog for anyone looking for a low-maintenence, easy-natured senior! On any given day, you'll find Louie spending most of the day leisurely napping, cuddling (usually while cuddling his doggie foster sis), then he will wake up, stretch it out and be searching for treats and pets from his humans, after that... you guessed it...some more napping! He likes to go for walks too- fresh air and new areas to explore- Louie is definitely game for that. His foster mom describes him as "highly obedient and affectionate". He is also very unique looking! A single inquisitive eye, with the tip of his tongue falling over his missing teeth, and those big Rat Terrier ears... Louie has one-of-a-kind good looks! Meet Jack! Jack was found roaming around outside, but based off of his condition it appears that he could have been dumped. He was very skinny and malnourished when we found him, but he is slowly improving. Jack is a very well tempered dog who is sweet and playful. He gets along well with other dogs, and older children. He is very intelligent and cannot wait to find his forever home! we also accept walk ins from 10am-4pm every day of the week!
