MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. So, off to Forte we went where I'm being cared for by a nice foster mom, and I really like to hang with my people, kids, and any other dogs in the home. I've got a bit of wanderlust in me, so you have to be really careful not to let me get away, but otherwise I'm the perfect dog. I rescued Wednesday from the San Bernardino shelter in October, and she has blossomed into the sweetest little shadow. She is a 9lb, 3-5 year old cuddle bug who believes blankets are life and loves playing fetch with her stuffed animals. She is a loving companion who knows basic tricks, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely lives for attention. If you want a dog who looks at you like you're the sun, this is her. Wednesday has a very high prey drive when it comes to cats. She fixates on my resident cat constantly, and despite our best efforts, she simply cannot share a home with felines. She needs a home where she doesn't have to worry about hunting the kitty. Her ideal match: - Strictly a feline-free zone. - She hasn't been around kids, but a calm home would likely suit her best. - She is about 90% potty-trained to go in the backyard. - Spayed, chipped, and all shots up to date.
