Story
MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Millie (Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).

Story
p>It’s the usual sad story for me, I was found by a very nice lady while I was wandering around a truck yard, and she couldn't find my family. So, off to Forte we went where I'm being cared for by a nice foster mom, and I really like to hang with my people, kids, and any other dogs in the home. I've got a bit of wanderlust in me, so you have to be really careful not to let me get away, but otherwise I'm the perfect dog. If you are interested in meeting Novo, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Novo is about 1 years old and weighs 20 lbs.] (2601)

Meet Brownie Sweet Treat Alert!!! Meet Ms. Brownie!! We love this little spry grandma so much. She may have a bit of a collapsing trachea (hello, senior dog lovers), but that doesn't stop her from being the sweetest little treat! She can fly solo or be with other dogs. She loves her walks, getting snuggles and affection, and is fine with cats!! Her foster also says she is incredibly smart (must be all the Sudoku). If you're a glutton for a little sugar, apply to adopt Ms. Brownie!! PS - we had her dental taken care of recently so she is ready to go. Apply here: https://shyclubrescue.com/adoption-application/ and Follow @Shyclubrescue on Instagram for updates on Ms. Brownie.

Story
I rescued Wednesday from the San Bernardino shelter in October, and she has blossomed into the sweetest little shadow. She is a 9lb, 3-5 year old cuddle bug who believes blankets are life and loves playing fetch with her stuffed animals. She is a loving companion who knows basic tricks, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely lives for attention. If you want a dog who looks at you like you're the sun, this is her. Wednesday has a very high prey drive when it comes to cats. She fixates on my resident cat constantly, and despite our best efforts, she simply cannot share a home with felines. She needs a home where she doesn't have to worry about hunting the kitty. Her ideal match: - Strictly a feline-free zone. - She hasn't been around kids, but a calm home would likely suit her best. - She is about 90% potty-trained to go in the backyard. - Spayed, chipped, and all shots up to date.

Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Chilly Male • Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle Mix • Born 12/09/2021 - 4 Years Old • 24 pounds Healthy • Vaccinated • Neutered Chilly is a lovable, happy boy with a wagging tail and a heart full of devotion. At four years old, he’s the perfect age — past the puppy chaos but still playful and full of life. With the curiosity of a Beagle and the charm of a Jack Russell, Chilly is a wonderful mix of fun, affection, and easygoing companionship. Personality Chilly is friendly, affectionate, and people-loving. He enjoys exploring on walks, following interesting scents, and then curling up nearby when it’s time to relax. He has a joyful spirit without being overwhelming and fits beautifully into a consistent routine. Chilly bonds strongly with his humans and thrives in a home where he’s treated as a true family member. Breed Info (Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle Mix) This mix typically brings together: Intelligence and problem-solving skills A strong nose and love of sniffing adventures Playful, curious energy balanced by affection Loyal, social personalities that enjoy companionship Chilly is well-suited for a home that enjoys daily walks, light playtime, and quality bonding moments. Owner Responsibilities Chilly’s future family should be prepared to: Provide daily exercise and enrichment Maintain structure, routines, and basic training Offer companionship, patience, and love Keep up with routine veterinary care Even though Chilly is healthy, adopters should take him to their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption. Things to Consider Before Adopting Confirm landlord or HOA approval Consider your schedule and ability to provide daily interaction Remember that terrier/hound mixes benefit from enrichment Adoption is a lifetime commitment, not a short-term decision The 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days allow Chilly to decompress, the first 3 weeks help him learn your routine, and the first 3 months are when trust fully forms and he truly feels at home. &#226&#156&#168 Why Chilly Will Be a Great Addition Chilly brings happiness, loyalty, and warmth into every space he enters. He’s the kind of dog who makes ordinary days better just by being there. If you’re looking for a loving, well-balanced companion who’s ready to give his whole heart, Chilly is waiting for you.
