Meet Fiona Tiny, Sweet, and Ready to Grow Up With Her Forever Family Breed: Rat Terrier Mix Gender: Female | Age: 07/10/2026 | Weight/Size: 5 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Sweet | Friendly | Playful | Affectionate Medical: Not Provided | Spay: Age-Appropriate/Pending Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Fiona is an absolutely adorable 2-month-old Rat Terrier mix weighing just over 4½ pounds. She's still a tiny baby with an entire lifetime of growing, learning, exploring, and loving ahead of her. Fiona is friendly with other dogs and good with children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. As a Rat Terrier mix, Fiona may grow into a bright, curious, playful, energetic, and affectionate companion. Rat Terriers are often clever little dogs who enjoy being involved with their families. They may be small, but they can have plenty of personality, enthusiasm, and intelligence packed into their little bodies. Because Fiona is only two months old and a mixed breed, her eventual adult size, appearance, personality, and energy level cannot be predicted with certainty. Fiona's future family should be prepared to provide her with plenty of: Love and companionship Age-appropriate play and exercise Puppy socialization Positive-reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Safe chew toys Consistent routines and boundaries Patience through puppyhood Continued veterinary care A safe indoor home A lifelong commitment She's tiny now, but adopting Fiona means making a promise to care for her through puppyhood, adulthood, and eventually her senior years. Puppy Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At only two months old, Fiona is truly a baby. Her adopter should expect all the normal parts of raising a young puppy—including potty accidents, chewing, puppy nipping, short attention spans, nighttime adjustment, bursts of energy, and lots of learning. Rescue puppies generally arrive with basic training at best, so Fiona's family should be prepared to work on: House training Crate training as appropriate Basic commands Leash introduction Appropriate chewing Bite inhibition Calm greetings Household boundaries Safe puppy socialization Becoming comfortable with handling and grooming At this young age, positive experiences matter. Gentle handling, appropriate socialization, consistent routines, and reward-based training can help Fiona develop confidence and good habits as she grows. Please also remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Every puppy develops at her own pace. Fiona needs a family willing to patiently teach her rather than expecting her to already understand how to live in a human household. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Fiona's vaccination, deworming, and other veterinary information was not provided, so her adopter should review her complete medical records with a veterinarian. At only two months old, she is still in an important stage of puppy veterinary care. Her future family should work closely with their veterinarian to make sure she receives everything she needs on the appropriate schedule. Her family should be prepared to provide: Puppy wellness examinations Age-appropriate vaccinations and boosters Spaying when age-appropriate Deworming and parasite prevention as recommended Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Quality puppy nutrition for healthy growth Routine dental care as she matures Continued training and socialization Age-appropriate exercise Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and loving indoor home Until Fiona's veterinarian confirms that she has adequate vaccine protection, her adopter should be careful about exposing her to higher-risk public areas where unknown or unvaccinated dogs may have been. Because she's currently such a tiny puppy, supervision around larger dogs, young children, furniture, stairs, and other situations where she could accidentally be injured is also important. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Fiona, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Fiona is only two months old and barely beginning her journey. She's tiny, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and has her entire life waiting ahead of her. She's looking for a family who won't just fall in love with the adorable puppy she is today, but who will love, teach, protect, and care for the dog she becomes for the rest of her life. Story
Harley is a sweet, loyal, and obedient dog. His first instinct when he meets new people or other dogs is to play. He is fully house broken and does his best to always behave. A stern "Hey!" is enough to make him stop doing anything you don't want him to do. Then he'll do anything to make sure you can't stay mad at him. I wish we could keep him forever but his allergy conditions are too expensive. The costs of going to the vet once a month to get a shot, the monthly prescription refills, and special hypoallergenic food adds another $500 to my monthly expenses and I can't afford it anymore. If it weren't for his allergies, he'd be the perfect dog.

Story
MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Millie (Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).
