Story
Sweet Lola's goal in life is to live in a home where she can be in the company of humans as much as possible. She will lavish her total loyalty on one household member, but is loving to all. She could be happy in a one-person home or in a household full of adults and children -- she just doesn't want to be alone. At 10 years-old, Lola deserves that reasonable request. Want to go on walks? She is right there with you for as far as you want to wander. Prefer to just veg on the couch? She can do that, too. Have other dogs? She will totally enjoy chasing, wrestling, and cuddling with them. Lola is very observant, both visually and audibly, and will scan her environment for clues of what is about to happen. Her focus and intelligence do make her tend toward strong-willed stubbornness, but if you pair that determination with some treats, she becomes a gal intent on figuring out how to learn something new. Lola weighs a slender 13 lbs. so is the perfect size for an easily portable, constant companion. She has great house manners and reliable house-training on a day-to-day basis. When she is routinely left alone for long periods, however, she does get stressed out, and there have been occasions in the past that the stress has led to potty accidents. Learn more about this loving, devoted sweetie at  http://www.imageevent.com/newrattitude/lola  . Story
Meet Lia A Tiny Terrier With a Big Future and So Much Love to Give Breed: Rat Terrier Mix Gender: Female | Age: 3 Months DOB: July 10, 2026 (Estimated) Weight: 3.75 kg / 8 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Playful | Curious | Sweet | Lively (Typical Puppy Traits) Medical: Vaccinations Current | Spay Status: Unknown | Microchip: Not Provided Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Safe transportation coordinated for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Lia is an adorable 3-month-old Rat Terrier mix weighing approximately 8 pounds. This precious little girl is just beginning her journey through life, and she's looking for a loving family to help her grow into a happy, confident companion. At three months old, Lia is still very much a baby. She's at an important stage of development when everyday experiences, gentle guidance, and positive interactions can help shape her confidence and behavior as she grows. Rat Terriers are often known for being intelligent, curious, lively, affectionate, and full of personality. Despite their smaller size, they can be energetic little dogs who enjoy exploring, playing, and spending time with their families. As a Rat Terrier mix, Lia may develop some of these wonderful characteristics as she matures. She would benefit from a family that can provide age-appropriate playtime, gentle exercise, mental enrichment, positive socialization, and plenty of affection. Because Lia is still growing, her adult size cannot yet be determined from her current weight alone. With patience, consistency, and love, Lia has the opportunity to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At only three months old, Lia is still learning about the world. Her future family should be prepared for the normal responsibilities of raising a young puppy. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be ready to continue working on potty training, crate training if desired, leash walking, basic commands, recall, appropriate chewing, household boundaries, and positive socialization. Rat Terriers are often clever and eager to explore, so positive reinforcement, patience, repetition, and consistent routines will be especially important. Short, enjoyable training sessions will help Lia develop confidence while strengthening the bond she builds with her new family. Her adopter should also understand that puppies require supervision, structure, and time. Accidents, chewing, teething, and occasional mischief are all normal parts of puppyhood. Lia will need a family willing to invest the time and effort required to guide her through puppyhood and into adulthood. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days: Time to decompress and begin feeling safe. 3 Weeks: Time to understand her new household routine. 3 Months: Time to build trust, settle in, and begin feeling truly at home. These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Every rescue dog adjusts at their own pace, and Lia should be given the time she needs to feel safe and secure. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Lia's vaccinations are current, and her spay status has not yet been confirmed. Because she is only three months old, her adopter should review her medical records with a veterinarian to determine whether she needs additional puppy vaccine boosters, deworming, flea and parasite prevention, microchipping, or other preventive care. If Lia has not yet been spayed, her future family should discuss age-appropriate spaying with a veterinarian. As a growing puppy, Lia will need quality puppy nutrition, regular veterinary examinations, appropriate exercise, dental care, grooming, nail care, and continued preventive healthcare. Because she is still small and developing, her family should also provide safe play areas, gentle handling, and supervision around larger dogs or young children. Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment that includes the time, financial responsibility, training, and care necessary throughout her life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Lia, please complete an adoption application: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes. While based in Southern California, we coordinate safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Our goal is to give every dog the best possible chance of finding the right family and a home where she will be loved and cared for throughout her life. Adopting Lia means committing to her training, veterinary care, exercise, safety, companionship, and happiness throughout her life. Lia may be tiny today, but she has a whole lifetime of love, adventures, and wonderful memories waiting ahead of her. At just three months old, she's looking for someone who will be there for every milestone, every new discovery, and every little victory. This sweet little Terrier deserves a family who will love her as she grows and give her the happy ending every puppy deserves. ❤️🐾 Three Little Boys With So Much Love to Give 🐾❤️ Sometimes, all a little dog needs is for someone to say, “Yes, we’ll help.” These three precious boys came to us from another rescue that had become overwhelmed with animals and reached out for help. When we heard that they needed somewhere safe to go, we couldn’t turn them away. So we opened our doors and welcomed these three little rascals into the Fur Baby Rescue family. ❤️ They are about six months old and are believed to be Rat Terrier mixes, possibly with some Chihuahua. They are absolutely adorable, and each one is full of life, love, and that irresistible puppy spirit. They are playful, happy, affectionate little boys who love being around people and other dogs. They would make wonderful family companions and would be great with children and other friendly dogs. They’d love going for walks, tagging along on adventures, sitting beside you at a coffee shop, or simply being your little shadow at home. They should remain small, around 12–15 pounds when fully grown, making them the perfect size for someone looking for a little companion with a big personality. ❤️ These boys didn’t ask to end up in rescue. They simply needed someone to give them a chance — and now that they’ve been given that chance, we’re hoping to find families who will love them, cherish them, and make them part of their lives forever. Every dog deserves a family to call their own. These three sweet boys are ready for theirs. 🏡🐾 If you would like to meet them and see if one of these little guys is meant to be your new best friend, please text us at 213-840-0153 to arrange a meet-and-greet.

Story
Hans, also known as Gohan, came to A Home 4 Ever Rescue from the City of Hesperia Animal Control after being found as a stray. When he arrived in December 2025, he was recovering from a broken leg and has been staying at our rescue’s veterinarian’s office while he heals and regains his strength. Estimated to be about 1½ years old at the time he was found, Hans is a young, active boy with lots of energy and personality. As he continues to recover, he will need a home that can help manage his activity level to ensure he doesn’t overdo it and risk reinjuring his leg. Hans is still learning the ropes and will benefit from continued training and structure. He can be a bit iffy with other dogs, so proper introductions and guidance will be important. He also has a big voice and isn’t shy about using it, making him a great little alert dog! With the right home—one that offers patience, consistency, and love—Hans has so much potential to grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re ready to give this resilient and spirited pup the support he needs, Hans (Gohan) is waiting to meet you

Meet Atlas & Nemo! 🐾💙 These sweet 6-year-old brothers are a bonded pair looking for their new forever home together. Sadly, their owner passed away, and now they’re hoping to find a family who will give them all the love they deserve. 🏡 Atlas & Nemo are extremely sweet, affectionate pups with lots of energy and personality! And if you’re wondering how to tell them apart, just look at their ears! 🥹 Atlas’ ears stand up to make the shape of an “A,” while Nemo’s floppy ears make the shape of an “N.” How cute is that?! These brothers have already been through so much together, and we’d love nothing more than to see them start their next chapter side by side. 💙 Interested in giving Atlas & Nemo their forever home? Send us a message to learn more or apply to adopt! 🐾

Story
Dallas is a young Jack Russell Terrier with a gentle heart who is looking for a patient, understanding family to help him blossom. He can be very timid and frightened when faced with new people, places, and experiences, but beneath his shy exterior is a sweet dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. Dallas will need a calm, nurturing home where he can move at his own pace and learn that the world isn't such a scary place. With time, patience, and kindness, he will begin to build trust and gain confidence. Every small step forward is a victory, and the bond you'll develop with Dallas as he learns to trust will be incredibly rewarding.
