Louie is a 9-month-old Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix looking for a loving home. He was adopted from the LB Animal Shelter and has grown into a smart, energetic, and affectionate young dog.He is fully potty-trained and uses the bathroom outside. Louie is also crate-trained and sleeps in his crate overnight for 7–8 hours.Louie knows several commands including sit, stay, down, leave it, come, paw, touch, and more—he’s very treat-motivated.He’s great with our kids (ages 10 and 13) and has been comfortable around groups of people in the home. While he may bark initially when meeting new people, he warms up quickly.On leash, Louie can be reactive and will bark at other dogs, so he’ll do best with an experienced adopter who can continue working on his confidence and training. However, he has attended doggy daycare and does well in group play according to staff.He will come with his supplies (crate, leash, etc.) as well as food/treats to help him transition smoothly into his new home.

He is currently being monitored regularly. Treatment may be necessary if symptoms appear later. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Kangmin was found abandoned and was rescued by the fire department following a report. Before being moved to a shelter, he was temporarily cared for at the fire station. After hearing his story, Adogs decided to rescue him to provide more stable care and protection. 3️⃣ Personality & Traits * With People: Barks at strangers and can appear intimidated or cautious. Once he gets used to you, he allows touching and actually enjoys it! Is a shy dog who needs a little time to open up. His reaction to children is unknown as he hasn't met any yet. * With Dogs: Doesn't play with other dogs, but isn't bothered by them. Sniffs around and explores comfortably. * Interaction with Cats: Has not met any cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Isn't particularly close with his doggy roommate nor relies on them. However, stays calm and shows no signs of anxiety when left alone. * Potty Training: Mostly prefers outdoor potty. Indoors, occasionally urinates in his kennel. * Grooming/Hygiene: Due to his cautious nature, he may show mild defensive nipping or yelp when being handled for hygiene. However, he tolerates brushing well. * Walking: Has not had experience with regular walks yet. * Car Sickness: Does not show symptoms of motion sickness during car rides. * Biting: No aggressive biting.
