Story
This is a very cute 11-month-old female rat terrier. She is already housebroken and crate trained. She is too young to spay. Unfortunately I have a job that requires me to work long hours and the dog is not happy being alone for the long number of hours. I feel bad for the dog so I want to make a good decision and rehome her and allow her to be loved and cared for by someone or some family who has the time and energy to take care of a active little dog with a cute personality!

Story
Bebe and Tabby are a bonded pair of 7-year-old female Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mixes. Bebe weighs approximately 15 pounds. She is a friendly, happy, affectionate girl who is always wagging her tail as soon as she sees you. Tabby also weighs 15 pounds. She is timid when she first meets new people, but quickly warms up. We have no idea why they named her Tabby? They both gets along well with the other dogs, but have not been cat or kid-tested. Their adoption donation is $500, which includes their spay, vaccinations, and microchip. They both are heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. They are currently in a foster home, please fill out an adoption application, and we will arrange meet and greet. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-application.html https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p154/Bebe_%26_Tabby.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link: https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information.html

Story
Very sweet dog ( 1 year old) at home, good with four dogs in our household ( prior to our move, now only one other dog ) but very bad on walkies towards other dogs he doesnt know. Im too old and work long hours and am out of energy to help him to correct this behavior. I always walk my dogs every day and I cant walk him anymore without feeling bad about itbe a fantastic dog with someone young and capable who would take him on adventures and who could help him! Ive only had him for six months. As far as I know hes never been mistreated or abused, hes a happy and loving dog but seems to have this nervousness on walks, which then leads to problems when we meet other dogs. I want him to have a good home and be loved and helped. I am moving to an apartment very shortly and cant have him there. The other bigger dog in the picture goes with my daughter as its her dog. I love dogs but my age and work wont help Barry and he needs a better home than I am capable of giving.

These pups are in Sanford, Florida too!

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Sherman. An approx. 5-year-old neutered male JRT mix. Sherman is what we call a low rider due to his short legs, which doesn't stop him from jumping onto the couch to snuggle with his foster mom. Sherman has come a long way in the short time he's been with his foster family, but he is still cautious of new people and wary of men. Sherman was most likely not well socialized and needs someone who will show him patience and love as he continues to come out of his shell. He loves women and would most likely do best in a female only home and because he needs a quieter, slower paced environment, a home with children would not be an ideal situation. Sherman does love other dogs and has fun playing with his foster brother and sisters. He runs around the house wagging his tail, trying to get them to play. He really has a silly side that will come out even more as he learns to trust. He has a very JRT personality and at times tries to be bossy with the other dogs so dogs with a more submissive personality would be a better fit. Someone who has JRT breed experience is important as well. Sherman is crate trained and housebroken. He is fearful of walking on a leash, but we are working on making him more comfortable with it. He rides quietly in the car too. Overall, he is a very sweet, goofy little boy that just needs to find someone who will help him become more confident. If you live in the Central Florida area and think this goofy little low rider would be a good fit in your home, please fill out an application and tell us more about yourself. December 22, 2025, 3:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Buddy! Buddy is a sweet 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is looking for a loving, understanding forever home. He walks nicely on a leash and truly enjoys going for car rides, making him a great companion for outings and adventures. Buddy’s happiest place is right by his people’s side. He does not like being confined in a crate and prefers to be free and involved in daily life with his humans. Because of this, Buddy would do best in a home where he can spend plenty of time with his person and not be crated. Buddy can be uncomfortable around most men, so we are seeking a female-only home where he will feel safe and secure. He is also very selective about other dogs and would need to be the only dog in the household to truly thrive.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 3, 2026, 11:47 am
