WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. My name is Millie! I am about 6 to 7 years old and 14 lbs; with my big ears, I appear to be a Rat Terrier mix among a few other things. My foster mom and family say I am a really good little girl. I was found trotting along a country road all by myself. My finder drove up in their car and with a little cajoling, I decided it looked safe... safer than what I was dealing with! I am glad I took the plunge and hopped in because I seemed to have hit the foster jackpot. I am dog and people friendly. I am housebroken. I don't require a crate, but I may ask to sleep in your bed! I am good on leash and I love to go on walks. I can be playful but I really enjoy snuggling up next to her humans. I also love to lounge in the sun when it's available. I will let you know when I want to go out for fresh air and when my outdoor time has ended. I am going to make a great little companion! I have not met kids under 10 yet nor those felines!
