Story
Casey is a lively 7-year-old Rat Terrier mix with a heart full of love and energy to share. This 25-pound bundle of joy thrives with plenty of playtime and exercise, so he would enjoy a home with a fenced-in backyard or a family that enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures. Casey was surrendered when his previous owner had a baby. Highly intelligent and affectionate, Casey thrives with adults and older children who understand his gentle, playful spirit. While he enjoys the company of one other dog, he’s also happy to be the star solo act in a dog-free home. Car rides? Casey’s your perfect road trip buddy, always ready to hop in the car and join you on new journeys. Though he can be a bit shy at first, his loving and loyal nature quickly shines through once he warms up. Casey is currently on medication to help with anxiety during fireworks or thunderstorms, but with a calm, patient home, he’s on the path to feeling even more comfortable. He is housebroken, neutered, and ready to settle into a loving family that can provide the patience and routine he thrives with. Casey is a smart, sweet, and playful pup who’s ready to find his forever home. Ready to meet this lovable guy? Reach out today to arrange a visit and see why Casey is ready to steal your heart!

Story
If I didn't already have 4 dogs, I'd adopt Betsy in a heartbeat! She's 10 years old and weighs 15 pounds. Because of her age and weight, we ask that there be no small children in the home where she lives. Kids don't always know their own strength. A Rat Terrier mix, Betsy's foster describes her as calm and sweet and that she gives off &#194&#147old lady vibes.&#194&#148 She's a friendly girl who loves to roll in the grass! A bit of youth for an older lady! (posted 12/29/25, ME) Lower Fees: Adoption Fee: Adoption fees for Hope dogs, Seniors and those who have been in rescue for prolonged periods of time are reduced to $150.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $100.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **December 29, 2025, 3:31 pm

Story
Ridge is a 6-month-old, 17 lb cutie with the cutest ears you’ve ever seen and a look that’s truly one of a kind. He was saved from Louisiana and has been winning hearts ever since. Believed to be some kind of Rat Terrier mix (though we honestly aren’t quite sure), Ridge has such a cool, unique appearance that he really stands out. Personality-wise, Ridge is just as great as his looks. He’s good with all people and gets along well with other dogs, making him an easy addition to many types of homes. He’s still young and ready to learn, grow, and enjoy all the fun that puppy life brings. Ridge is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He is ready to find his forever family.  Apply at EHRDOGS.ORG and ask for RIDGE LOUISIANADecember 29, 2025, 2:10 am
