Story
Gromit is 10 years old and has a gentle, affectionate disposition. She is very friendly and enjoys snuggling and receiving attention. She is generally quiet and only barks when someone knocks on the front door. Gromit enjoys going for walks and will comfortably follow along both on and off leash; she does not run away. She is fully house-trained and reliably does her business outdoors. Gromit has been part of my extended family since she was found as a young puppy wandering alone. Since that time, she has been well cared for and kept current on all veterinary care and vaccinations. Her veterinary records are maintained by the clinic in Louisiana where she was first treated and continue to document her care over the years. Gromit originally belonged to my brother and his wife. Tragically, my sister-in-law passed away about eight years ago, when Gromit was still young, and my brother passed away this past April. I am not a good dog dad and she needs more than I can offer.

Story
Most of humanity remains under investigation. The evidence is not encouraging. Wednesday would like it known that she did not volunteer to be available for adoption. Unfortunately, the humans insist that finding a forever home requires something called “marketing.” Wednesday believes trust should be earned, personal space should be respected, and strangers should be viewed with a healthy amount of skepticism. She is not interested in reckless optimism, unsolicited touching, or people who think every dog wants to be immediately scooped up and cuddled. She prefers to conduct a thorough investigation before deciding whether you are worthy of her attention. Some may call her cautious. Wednesday prefers “appropriately suspicious.” She does not give permission lightly. Touch her without consent and you may find yourself becoming the missing part of Thing. Fortunately, those who earn her approval discover a loyal companion hiding beneath all the judgment. Wednesday enjoys quiet company, cozy naps, and keeping a watchful eye on everything happening around her kingdom. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people and takes her responsibilities as household supervisor very seriously. Wednesday is currently accepting applications for permanent staff. Successful candidates must provide comfortable sleeping arrangements, appropriate snack distribution, and an understanding that trust is earned, not demanded.

Story
If you’ve ever wished for a tiny shadow with a wagging tail, Magpie is your girl.   This small black-and-white terrier mix is as sweet as they come. She’s cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to her people. Once she decides you’re hers, you’ll never walk alone again — kitchen, bathroom, laundry room… Magpie will be right there, just in case you needed moral support.   She gets along well with other small dogs, but make no mistake — her favorite place in the world is wherever you are. She will happily follow you from room to room, gazing up at you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to her (because in her world, you are).   Magpie would thrive in a home where someone is around often and doesn’t mind a little extra love and attention. She isn’t just looking for a house — she’s looking for her person.   If you’re ready for a loyal, cuddly, tiny best friend who will adore you with her whole heart, Magpie is waiting. DisclaimerThe information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is “potty trained,” this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents are normal during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions. 2 years old  9.7 lbs ##2662757##

Story
Ty is the kind of dog who reminds you that the simple things in life are often the best. This handsome Jack Russell mix is friendly, affectionate, and happiest when he`s spending quality time with people.Ty walks nicely on a leash and enjoys taking his time to explore the world around him. He has a low to medium energy level and would much rather stay close by your side soaking up attention than spend all day chasing toys. While he`ll happily investigate a toy you toss his way, what he really wants is your company. When Ty is looking for a little extra love, he`ll gently put his front paws on you to ask for attention. Once the petting starts, he`s all in - especially if belly rubs are involved! He`ll sometimes roll right over and whine if you dare stop before he`s had enough.Ty takes treats gently from your hand and has a calm, easygoing nature. He hasn`t mastered any tricks yet, but he`s already perfected the art of being a sweet pea. If you`re looking for a sweet, affectionate friend who will happily trade toys for cuddles, Ty may be the perfect match for you.
