Story
Jellie came in with her friend Bellie when their owner passed away. Though a little shy when first meeting people, she is blossoming quite well. She gets along with other dogs but would like a home with older children. Jellie can be a runner/door dasher and will need to be worked with that in the home. Jellie and Bella are able to find homes separately. Ask about her today!

Story
Tula is a wonderful companion who thrives on genuine connection and love. She seems like she would make a great addition to a household that values companionship and understands her need for support and affection. Her intelligence and quick learning ability make her an ideal pet for someone who enjoys teaching tricks and engaging in activities with their furry friend. It's important to find the right environment for her where she can feel comfortable and happy, and it's understandable that she might prefer a child-free home given her discomfort around children. She would be a great addition to a house hold who has another dog who enjoys playtime as Tula loves other dogs. Hopefully, Tula will find her perfect match soon and bring joy to her new family's life with her playful spirit and loving nature. Story
Freckles came to us from a rural downstate shelter. We believe she has rat terrier and chihuahua in her DNA. Even though Freckles' estimated age is 9-years old, she has an adorable puppy face. That face lights up when she is on squirrel watch. Her foster dad is careful to make sure the squirrels stay safe when Freckles is outside. We don't know anything about Freckles' past. We do know she is safe in our care until she finds the right home._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Freckles is $ 400.00WANT TO MEET FrecklesThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Freckles and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. Poor Bruce lost his loving home when his mom became ill. This handsome boy is a 15-pound Pomeranian mix and about 5 years old. He came to us with his brother Jack, however, they are not bonded and would prefer to be adopted separately. We are still getting to know Bruce. What we have learned so far is that he is adorable and deserves a forever home. Name: NellieBreed: Rat Terrier MixDOB: 1/2/23Good with kids: YESGood with dogs: YESGood with cats: YESFoster location: Hampshire, ILAdoption fee: $325Fun Bio: Poor Willie and Nellie were found after being dumped and abandoned in someone's yard.....on Christmas Day! What the heck?! We aren't sure if they are related (maybe father daughter? Grandfather?) but Willie is very attached to Nellie. Both Willie and Nellie are great dogs who, despite being abandoned, love life and being around people. They will entertain you for hours! Nellie is just about a year old ready to find a home that will love her Willie forever where they'll never be abandoned again. Can it be with you? If interested in a pet from us please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website.  We process applications in the order in which they are received.  We will likely not respond to interest emails regarding puppies and/or kittens, we get so many "interest" emails that we simply do not have the time to respond to each one.  We always recommend crate training, positive reinforcement training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog/puppy into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip. ##1914509##
