Zucchini is a 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix weighing about 60 pounds. He’s playful, energetic, and always ready for an adventure, whether that’s a long walk, a game in the yard, or curling up for cuddle time after a fun day. He’s a fast learner who loves treats, making training both rewarding and fun. Zucchini gets along well with other dogs, is great with kids, and walks beautifully on a leash. He’s crate trained and is making great progress with house training. While we’re not sure how he does with cats, he’s shown so many wonderful qualities in foster care. Like many rescue dogs, Zucchini is still building confidence. He can be fearful of some men and experiences some separation anxiety, so he’ll thrive with a patient, experienced owner who understands that trust takes time. Louie is a 3 year old mix and such a sweet dog. His fur is so soft you'll think he's part chinchilla. He was adopted as a puppy and is pure joy in dog form. He loves humans so much, is great with children, loves other dogs, is good on leash as well as off leash. He's a good listener, house trained, crate trained, and has just about the sweetest demeanor you could ask for.We go camping together, fly fishing, hiking, he's the quintessential Colorado dog. Hikes in the snow are his absolute favorite. Unfortunately my work now requires me to travel quite a lot. I've had to keep him boarded about 30% of the time and I don't feel that it's good for him. He needs to be with a family who is home more which I am sadly unable to do. He's truly wonderful and it breaks my heart to find him a new home but I think it's the best thing for him and I'm so hopeful that I'm able to find someone who enjoys him as much as I do.

Haaland got a very hands-on start to life. This adorable 4-month-old puppy was raised as a bottle baby, so being loved and cared for by people is all he's ever known. His parents are unknown, but Haaland may be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He has a gorgeous, shiny chocolate coat with a distinctive darker ridge running down his back. Haaland is one of those puppies who always seems to be happy. He's constantly smiling, loves other dogs, and grew up surrounded by cats and even tiny kittens. This kanga-Roo is hoping to hop his way into your heart! He`s an active guy that will appreciate an active lifestyle full of adventure. Roo hasn`t lived with other dogs but enjoyed romping with another pup here at the shelter! If you have a dog and are interested in Roo, bring them down for a meet-and-greet so we can help ensure it`s a match. And while he loves dogs, seeing them when on leash can be a bit frustrating for him because he just wants to play! Because of this, he will need to live in an area that has a lower density of neighborhood dogs (no apartments please!).
