Story
Meet Major, a 4-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart full of love! This handsome boy is very sweet and well-behaved, making him a wonderful companion. While Major enjoys affection and being close to his people, he can be a bit sensitive, so he’s best suited for a home with older children who can understand his gentle nature. He seems interested in being friends with other dogs, so bring your pups in to see if they are a perfect match! If you`re looking for a loyal and loving companion to share your life with, Major is ready to be your new best friend! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended

Story
At 10 years young, Kaleesi couldn’t be sweeter or kinder to those she LOVES! Don't let her age fool you, she's an energetic lady! The friendly 55-pound owner surrender, now safe in her foster home, is passionate about her one special person, in this case her foster mom, rolling over for belly rubs and then dancing and prancing about. Kaleesi loves going on walks, improving her leash skills daily, likes games of fetch, chewing bones and playing with squeaky toys and balls. While she gets along well with dogs of all sizes, her prey drive has her chasing cats! But can we all agree that she wins the "Best Smile" award?!! Motivated by food and toys, she currently knows “come, “sit” and “down,” but having missed out on much of her training, she’s extremely intelligent, eager to please and should prove easy to teach. Fully house-trained, and at work on her manners, Kaleesi will thrive in an active home with loving adopters to perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her second life is her best paws-ible life. See more photos and videos here!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hi, my name is Fig and here's a little about me….. I am a 13 week old female catahoula and border collie mix from oregon. I am dewormed and up to date on my vaccines. I am full of energy, very food motivated and ready to learn. I can sit on command, and I’m 90% crate trained, (I stay in my crate with little to no crying, I just don’t always want to get in willingly.) and I am working on coming back when my name is called. I go for walks on my harness well. And I am good around kids. Reason why I am looking for a new home is my owners are starting to experience heath issues with there pregnancy so time and money are needing to be spent elsewhere. Also I don’t like my cat roommate. So at my new home it would be best if there wasn’t any cats. I have shown aggression towards my older sister who is a pug, but as time has gone on I have learned to play nice with her. Also I would love to have a yard in which I can run around freely in, my current parents can’t provide me with one.

Story
Meet Ollie! He is 2 years old and a Catahoula Leopard dog. He is a big boy, but the most loving dog. He is great around other dogs and I would prefer him go to a home that already has other dogs. He does best when he has full time access to a fenced yard. He does not do well on a leash, but just needs some training.
