Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Perspective is everything and adding in a prodigy of love will raise the bar high. For these sweet souls, they have set their sights on having a forever family. They are mapping out their journey to their happily ever after. At the young age of 7 months, this litter of Rhodesian Ridgeback mixes have their sights on a loving home. Go big or go home is their motto and they are living up to that standard every day. Setting the bar high is what Buhle likes to do. With a big love will come a big dog as he is expected to be over 60 pounds when he is fully grown. He is currently 40 pounds and looking forward to growing up. Buhle is looking to have a fulfilling life with all the trimmings. He is looking to build a solid friendship base with others around him whether they are acquaintances or tried and true friends. He can mingle seamlessly with other dogs, children of all ages and adults. Buhle has not had the opportunity to meet a feline. It is unknown at this time if he would be inclined to welcome a feline companion. His perspective is that of the glass being half full, so he looks forward to embarking on exciting adventures, discoveries and blazing trails. He is both eager to please and very intelligent, which makes him very trainable. His reward is praises and cuddles, but he also would not mind a few treats along the way either and butt scratches are his favorite. He has medium puppy energy with spurts of excitement throughout the day. Buhle does not need caffeine to start his day, because he is already a bubbly pup when the morning alarm goes off. His days are spent playing with his toys, chewing on bones, playing with other dogs and snuggling with humans. On top of all that, Buhle is very loving, gentle and great in the car. With his curious nature and good old-fashioned smarts, he will thrive with consistency and love. A home with other dogs and/or children to play with would hit the mark for Buhle. He would not be disappointed with being any only dog either. He yearns for a family to call his own. He is posed to be a great house dog and can boast about being house, crate and leash trained. This boy wins a gold medal for his efforts in achieving his goals. It is important to remember that although Buhle is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. As with all puppies, Buhle is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. He will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize him so that he can become the perfect lifelong companion. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step and Buhle has his heart and soul focused on his destination of a happy and loving home. The adoption fee for Buhle is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue, and transport fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.November 7, 2024, 7:00 am

Story
Meet Wren!!!! The sweet girl who is the life of the party was found in Mississippi as a stray. She came into the shelter with a luxitating patella. She had surgery on it to fix it. She's still to this day. Has a slight limp here and there. It does not bother or slow her down whatsoever. Friend is looking for a active family who will take her on walks, hikes and even letting her run around the backyard with her dog friends. Wren loves to wrestle and romp with her humans and also her doggy siblings. She is very high on life! She loves her toys, balls, and chewing on bones. Wren is a very smart girl who is food motivated and will definitely learn lots in training class with you. She even might be the star of the class. In the evenings after Wren has gone to doggie daycare or just had a great active day, she will cuddle up on the couch with you and watch TV. Wren will definitely need exercise daily and mental stimulation to keep her happy. Wren cannot wait to find her forever home and family to love them till the end of time. He has had some advanced training and knows lots of commands and walks excellent on a leash. Roman is kennel and houstrained. He loves hiking and splashing in the water. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1427243##

Story
*Name: Sadie *Age: 6 years old *Current Weight: 80lbs *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Sadie! Sadie is a big sweetheart who loves to hike, eat, and sleep—preferably in a patch of sunshine on your deck. Absolutely beautiful, she is a mixed breed—likely Rhodesian Ridgeback with a possibility of Boerboel (South African mastiff). At 6 years old, Sadie is healthy, strong, and looks younger than her age. Sadie is house-trained and happy to sleep in a crate or next to your bed. Sadie walks well on a leash and enjoys agility activities like jumping and balance exercises. She is very affectionate and loves to be petted, especially in the morning. Sadie is smart, loyal, protective, and highly food-motivated. She is trainable and knows numerous commands.  Sadie lives in NYC and manages a city environment just fine, but she'd be very happy to have more space to run around and chase birds. She'd be happiest in a home with no young children or other pets and plenty of time to go on long walks and explore the woods. Sadie would also love someone who would be home with her most of the time as she adores being with her people!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2144030##
