Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
***FOSTER OR ADOPTER WANTED – CURRENTLY ON LONG ISLAND*** Looking for a big boy? Meet Chance, an extremely handsome two-year-old, 90 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever mix. Unfortunately, his family can no longer care for him. He was adopted as a young puppy to a rescue that doesn’t take their animals back. The family personally tried to rehome him on their own, but to no avail and local shelters are full. He is desperately in need of a new home ASAP! Chance is an affectionate dog that loves to be right by his owner's side. He has a nice medium energy level, but can also lay around for half the day. He enjoys short bursts of play in the yard to tire him out or a nice walk around the neighborhood. Chance cannot get enough pets and belly rubs too! He’s a really wonderful boy! He knows many commands and is fully house and crate trained. Chance is good with dogs but has not been around cats. His ideal family would be one with prior large dog experience and no children under 13 due to his size & inexperience around young kids. A fenced yard is highly preferred. Chance is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, neutered, and is on monthly prevention. **This is a courtesy post for PAWS Long Island who is in contact with the current owners. If you have specific questions about Chance or are interested in applying/meeting him, please email adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616. You can also CC or email info@happilyfureverafter.org directly.

Story
*Name: Roman  *Age: 2.5 years old *Current Weight:  90lbs *Adoption fee: $375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, experienced owner, due to breed restrictions Roman will only be adopted out to a home owner, fully fenced and secured yard. Meet this handsome guy Roman!!! Roman is goofy and loving with the people he knows and trusts. He loves to play and go for walks, and is a great snuggle buddy. He has had some advanced training and knows lots of commands and walks excellent on a leash. Roman is kennel and houstrained. He loves hiking and splashing in the water. Roman is sometimes unsure of people he has not met, so he would do best in an adult only home with somebody experienced in handling large dogs.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1427243##

Meet Ashley Age: 1 Years Weight: 54lbs. Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes - Dog Savvy Good with kids: Yes - Older Energy Level: Med Available for Adoption: 1/27/2024- Applications need to be approved before a meet and greet will be set up for any Fetching Hearts Rescue dogs. Meet Ashley!! This girl came into a shelter in Texas with her sister Mary Kate. Her sister was saved and Ashley sits behind waiting for her turn. Fetching Hearts Rescue saw this girl and knew she needed our help. Ashley is a shy girl who is looking for a quiet home with another dog to help her learn the ropes. Ashley would love a fenced yard to run around with her pal. She is a bigger girl who will wrestle and use her big paw to play. Ashley is happy when playing with her friends. She will need sometime to warm up to people, but we can promise you that once you are her best friend, Ashley will be your shadow. She can also be a couch potato at times as well, when you just want to hang out and watch movies. We would say older kids due to Ashley being shy. She enjoys her quietness and couch time when not playing with her dog friends. Ashley would benefit from training classes to learn her commands and also to enjoy that bonding time with you or her family. Let's give Ashley the hope of finding her forever home, just like her sister did. She really doesn't want to keep laying here wondering when it will be here turn. Yes, she is shy but she will learn in time that she doesn't have to be. Apply for this sweet girl today!! If interested in Ashley, please COPY LINK BELOW TO APPLY AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION: https://www.fetchingheartsrescue.org/adoption-form-online to fill out an application or email to inquire at: INFO.FETCHINGHEARTS@GMAIL.COM Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption: Thorough veterinary examination All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention and Heartworm Prevention. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
