Story
Meet Isekai: Your Fashion-Forward Cuddle Bug! 💕Looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you with her whole heart? Meet Isekai! Named after the anime genre where characters get a fresh start in a brand-new world, Isekai has embraced her own second chance and is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. I may start my day with a few championship-worthy zoomies around the yard, but once I've gotten my sillies out, I'm all about the snuggles. My favorite place in the world is curled up next to my favorite person—or even better, on top of them—for a cozy nap. If you're looking for a true Velcro dog, you've found her! 🧸When I'm not cuddling, I'm busy pursuing my greatest passion: toy surgery. Plush toys don't stand a chance against my expert squeaker-removal skills! I take my work very seriously, so you'll want to keep a steady supply of stuffies on hand. 👚I'm also a bit of a fashion icon. Because my skin is sensitive, I love sporting comfy sweatshirts, pajamas, and adorable collars. Looking cute while staying cozy is always in style! 🩹I've come a long way since arriving in rescue. With lots of love and excellent veterinary care, my skin has improved tremendously, my beautiful coat has grown back, and I'm feeling happier and healthier than ever. My atopic dermatitis is a lifelong condition, which means I'll always need a little extra skin care to keep me feeling my best. Right now, my routine includes a quality limited-ingredient diet, weekly medicated baths (which I actually enjoy!), and daily medications. Flare-ups can happen from time to time, so my treatment plan may need occasional adjustments with my veterinarian, but my routine has become a normal part of life. I also love having my own safe space. My crate is my cozy retreat where I happily relax, eat my meals, and unwind after a fun day. 🏠My dream home would let me soak up all the love as the only dog in the family. I have such a big heart that I'd really like to keep all of my people to myself! I do well with cats and respectful children, making me a wonderful addition to many families. I've spent the past several months healing, growing, and discovering what it feels like to be truly loved. Now I'm ready for the final chapter of my journey—a forever home where I can keep making people laugh, stealing hearts, and filling every day with cuddles. Could that home be yours? ———— Sometimes there isn’t any rhyme or reason as to why some animals get adopted quicker than others. Even good boys and good girls go unnoticed! Pets in our “We’re Still Waiting” program have been awaiting adoption longer than others and, in an effort to send them to the loving home they deserve, their adoption fee has been lowered slightly.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Cheeto Dust! This joyful Catahoula Leopard Dog/American Pit Bull Terrier mix is full of personality, love, and endless enthusiasm for life. Whether he’s chasing a tennis ball, splashing in the water, heading out on a hike, or curling up beside you for snuggles, Cheeto lives every moment with his whole heart. He’s goofy, affectionate, and always ready to make you smile. Cheeto is a smart boy who already knows several commands and loves learning, making him a great match for a family committed to continuing his training. He thrives with structure, plenty of exercise, and lots of interaction with his people. He also enjoys the company of other playful dogs and would likely love a canine companion, though it’s not required. Because of his adventurous spirit, Cheeto needs a securely fenced yard and a family that understands he can be a bit of an explorer. He walks best with a front-clip harness and will happily investigate just about anything, so keeping an eye on him outdoors is important. He can be a little too enthusiastic for young children, so a home with older, dog-savvy kids would be the best fit. Cheeto is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and sleeps through the night. He has a mild sensitive stomach that does well with a consistent diet, and like many curious dogs, he’ll happily sample sticks, berries, or anything else he finds if given the chance. More than anything, Cheeto is looking for an active family who will embrace his big personality, continue building on his training, and love him for the fun, loyal, affectionate companion he is. In return, he’ll fill your days with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love.   **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Welcome Apollo to CCPAL Rescue. Apollo is a 12 month old lab/Black Mouth Cur or Shepherd mix dog. He weighs about 40 pounds and has now been moved into the rescue from the Samaritan that found him. She found the entire litter of puppies and has fostered them until we had space. We have already adopted out 4 of this litter. Milo is one of their brothers. Apollo and his brother Orion are very lucky to now be in the rescue. They will get daily interaction with people and a nice routine so they can get used to structure. They were found by a very nice woman but she was too busy to work with the pups. They were and are well cared for but we will be working on leash manners and getting into a daily routine. It is amazing what attention and direction does for a dog. Apollo is good with other dogs. He has lived mostly outdoors but now is getting used to being in a kennel and doing some leash walk training. Apollo is a large dog but on the smaller side of large. He is a little shy at the moment but I do think he will do what all the others in this litter have done, blossom. He could be with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Apollo would be a great walking partner and right now his best home is someone who wants a companion. He would love one on one attention and direction. He responds well and bonds deeply to his human. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200 if we work with the transporters to deliver him to one of their stops. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Orion to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Orion is an 13-month-old Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs about 40 pounds and may way 50 full grown. He was found as a stray. He is a very sweet and responds well to affection. He will be large sized full-grown dog is our guess. He is friendly with other dogs off-leash. He has a beautiful medium length coat and stunning brown eyes. He was found as a stray and is now in foster care here in Texas. Orion has a brown shorter coat with a white blaze on his chest. He is a moderate shedding dog and not over the top. He stays in his yard and plays nicely with other dogs. He is good with all people and is very loving. He loves to play in the water and playing with sticks. He is a typical puppy. They are good at walking next to you in the yard. Orion would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He isn’t food assertive when eating and is not over the top wiggly. He is playful and outgoing. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, or all along the East Coast. Someone who does not work all day every day is best for a puppy. He will need to finish up his puppy training. He spends a lot of time outside in his foster home here in Texas. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions or to apply online. https://youtu.be/yRS2uvCrSK8
