You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Brandy and her brothers found themselves unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Meet this gentle soul, Brandy! She is a pup who you’ll fall in love with instantly. She is cautious upon meeting new people, but overcomes her timid demeanor very quickly and can’t get enough cuddles. She is kennel trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. She is happy spending time in the yard and keeping herself entertained with a ball, however she absolutely loves to play with other dogs. She would be a great family dog, as she does well with children. Story

Huxley is a 3 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog who we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. He’s a great family dog and loves to cuddle. He loves kids, other dogs, and does amazing with our infant daughter and older dog. He does like to pester our cat to get him to play. His favorite activity is swimming though he would enjoy anything that would involve using his energy. He has a great nose and could definitely learn to track/be a hunting buddy. He’s very smart and knows many commands including sit, down, stay, roll over, shake, leave it, hug. We are rehoming him due to his behavior issue of separation anxiety. He pees in the house whenever left alone - he also cannot be kenneled due to hurting himself. I believe he can learn to improve/manage his issue but with our growing family and already trying medications/mental stimulating toys/home training/belly band diapers we feel it would be best for him to find a new home with a family that can always be there for him or help with his issues.

Age: 2 yearsWeight: 55 poundsLocation: FosterMeet Domino! She was found stray heavily pregnant and had 9 puppies February 12 in a loving foster home. When not on Mama duty, she enjoys running in the yard, playing fetch, carrying around toys in her mouth and being loved on by her foster family! She is a great family dog. She is 100% potty trained, is gentle and bonds quickly. She likes to stick close to home and enjoys a comfy couch, especially when she gets to snuggle with a family member! She needs work on jumping but is good on a leash or harness. She seems good with other dogs but has only been observed with the resident senior Chi. She has chased cats but is possibly just imitating what the other dog does . Due to her size and energy, she would be best in a home with older children. Domino is around 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds. Domino’s “Game” puppies are snuggly and playful. They are eating solid food and are ready for meet and greets! They'll be ready to go to their forever homes in a couple of weeks, but they can be pre-adopted. Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
