*Name: Roman  *Age: 2.5 years old *Current Weight:  90lbs *Adoption fee: $375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, experienced owner, due to breed restrictions Roman will only be adopted out to a home owner, fully fenced and secured yard. Meet this handsome guy Roman!!! Roman is goofy and loving with the people he knows and trusts. He loves to play and go for walks, and is a great snuggle buddy. He has had some advanced training and knows lots of commands and walks excellent on a leash. Roman is kennel and houstrained. He loves hiking and splashing in the water. Roman is sometimes unsure of people he has not met, so he would do best in an adult only home with somebody experienced in handling large dogs.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. Story
*Name: Ricky *Age: 11 years old  *Current Weight: approx 40 lbs *Adoption fee: $300 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Ricky is 11 years old and is looking for an incredibly special family to adopt him for the last chapter of his life. Sadly Ricky is being given up by the only family he has ever known due to his special needs. They have young children and feel they can no longer handle the care he requires. Ricky is described by his family as “the sweetest dog we've ever had. He is great around kids and is super full of life and energy, considering his circumstances” . Ricky is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and he suffered an FCE ( spinal stroke) about 2 and a 1/2 years ago. The FCE impacted the use of his legs, but through intense physical therapy we were able to regain function in his right rear leg. The left rear leg never gained function function back, so unfortunately, eventually it was amputated after 2 years. Ricky does best wearing a male diaper to prevent dripping/leaking, but he lets you know when he needs to go to the bathroom, by going to the door and barking. What a good boy !!! But since he had an FCE, it's usually a short fuse from when he barks to when he really needs to go.Ricky does sometimes use a wheelchair if he is going to be outside for an extended period of time, but he can also walk on three legs when he needs to. Ricky is in great health otherwise and this sweet boy will decline rapidly in a shelter environment. We would love nothing more than to find a loving foster home ( or forever ) home for him. *Name: Buddy - 3 *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 70 lbs *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $475 *Health: up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped *Adoption requirements: adopter must be 25 or older Hi there, I'm Buddy!! I am a 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and am fully grown at 70 lbs. My foster tells me I am the best boy, I walk well on leash, I'm house/crate trained, and I play very nicely with all of my foster siblings. I am currently being fostered with dogs and cats, I much prefer the dogs because the cats don't want to play with me. I've also been around kids, and I like themt too especially when they play fetch with me. I've gotten very good at ignoring them!! I love to play with my stuffed monkey toy, I even take it to bed with me. I have the sweetest wrinkles on my face, and just love to give kisses. I would make a perfect best friend, could I be yours?? Story
Meet Chai! Chai is an adorable 6-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (we think) who is looking for a loving forever home! This lovable pup has a totally fun-loving, goofy personality, and a playful spirit. Chai's joyful nature is contagious, and he'll bring happiness and laughter to your life every day! One of Chai's most endearing qualities is his sweet and loving temperament. He enjoys being around people and thrives with affection and attention. Chai is a social butterfly, always eager to meet new people and make friends - especially those who want to play with him. He LOVES toys! At this stage, Chai is still working on his potty training and leash walking skills. He is a smart and eager learner, so he will benefit from consistency and patience. When it comes to Chai's size, it's estimated that he will reach a full-grown weight of around 50-60 pounds. We think he'd love to have another dog to romp around with, but he could also be great as your one and only!  Chai is eagerly waiting for a family who will provide him with a loving home and the attention he deserves. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this delightful pup, fill out an application TODAY! Chai is ready to bring endless joy and love into your life!   THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AMAZING RESCUE DOGS - WE CAN’T WAIT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!   The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopt-a-dog.org. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application.   HOW CAN I MEET THE ADOPTABLE DOGS?: Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match!   *If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail info@adoptadog.org!   ##1726735##
