Story
Meet Jack, a 7-8 month old, very good boy. His days are filled with playful antics and goofy moments that bring laughter to everyone around him. Jack loves to engage in games, especially if they involve a bit of friendly chasing or fetching. His funny expressions and joyful demeanor make every interaction memorable. Jack is not just a pet; he's a bundle of joy waiting to spread happiness in a loving home. Adopting Jack means embracing endless fun and Jack is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling!  ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet Sweet 5m old tripod Pearl from Puerto Rico.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org. Story
URGENT ‼️ Lids needs a new home immediately. URGENT ‼️ We have an urgent request to find a new home for Lids.  This boy was adopted from us two and a half years ago but his adopter can't keep him due to recent health issues. Lids is a three-year-old, 75 pound boy who is full of energy, and love.  He's a cuddler and an  affectionate boy!   He is looking for a family who can show him love and patience, and work with him if needed. He is good with humans of all ages, including kids.  But we recommend older kids because of his energy. He is good with dogs, but like most dogs, he will need a proper introduction. No cats for him. He is housebroken and knows commands for 'sit', 'down', 'off', 'high five' and 'come'. He does need some work with his leash walking skills. The best home for Lids will be: With an active owner who can take him hiking, running, or do agility with him. A friendly and playful resident dog (if there already is a dog in household). Patient owner who will give him time to decompress and work with him and shower him with love. Lids is currently located in the NY area.  Courtesy Post. If you have any questions please email: info@ friendsforlifeanimalrescue.org To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Life is tough as a stray and these pups suffer in many ways. Yes, it’s hard to find food, people are shooting you with their pellet guns to get you off their property, and the risk of being hit by a car when walking the streets is high. However, it’s not just danger and hardship that hinder these pups . Physical deterioration due to the absence of any care is very common. Because she was alone on the streets so long Vanessa’s ears were chronic when she arrived to rescue. They were so swollen her ear drums were unreachable, and a hematoma was starting to form in one ear, while the showed scarring from hematomas in the past with some pretty severe infections. About 4 weeks later this girl is infection free, however her ears will be prone to infection if not taken care of properly. It seems Vanessa lived the life of a stray for most of her 4 years. Although she has settled into her foster home nicely she still has some evidence of being a street pup. This girl enjoys the comforts a home has to offer such as a nice dog bed, comfy couch, regular meals and lots of toys. However, when the door opens her first instinct is to dart straight out of that door. Special care will need to be taken when first introducing this girl into a new home. Vanessa loves her dog friends, and has learned to respect the kitties. Her house manners are coming along, but she is still working to master her potty training skills. Like most hounds this girl is very food motivated so consistency and guidance should help her master these skills in no time. Vanessa loves all humans and is a very outgoing girl always looking to make new friends. Vanessa didn’t have a great start to life, but she is looking for a second chance. If you can give that chance to her email jonesm4318@gmail.com today!
