Hi! Canela is a wonderful dog who would be a perfect addition to your family. She is shy in the beginning but it doesn't take long for her to feel comfortable. She loves to take her naps after playing with other pups. Canela is adaptable to any sort of housing but she would most benefit from a place she can call home with a fenced backyard and another dog or friend she can play with. Canela is crate trained and we are working towards leash training! She has learned to stick by my side during walks. After a long walk outside she will make herself comfortable in her crate. Ideally I would love to know she is in a loving home with people who love and care for her. I realized that I couldn't give her everything she deserves but I know there is someone else who can.

I’m a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, and even though I started out as the runt of my litter, I’ve grown into a chunky, confident guy! My foster mom has taken me to lots of events, and I’ve met so many people. Everyone wants to hold me — and honestly, I love every second of the attention. She says I’m a very handsome boy… what do you think? I can be a tiny bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, my real personality comes out. I’m sweet, affectionate, and happiest when I’m close to my people. I love chewing on bones, and squeaky toys are my absolute favorite. Treats? Oh, those are amazing — I’m very treatâmotivated! Playing with other dogs, especially my siblings, is so much fun. Sure, we get into little squabbles sometimes, but that’s just what siblings do. I’ve been great with the kids I’ve met too. I’m doing well with potty training and will master it quickly with a good schedule. I was not the biggest fan of that cold white stuff outside, though with a nice warm coat I did ok, but I am not going to lie, I am looking forward to the some warm and sunny weather. I’m crate trained and sleep through the night without a peep — although I wouldn’t mind sharing a warm bed with you either. I’m learning how to walk on a leash and I think I do ok, I love car rides and going on adventures. So… what do you think? Could I be your new best friend? I’m a super sweet boy with a big heart, and I love to snuggle—it’s one of my favorite things to do! Whether it’s with my foster mom or anyone who enjoys a good cuddle, I’m all in. Could that be you? I live with lots of other dogs, including my three siblings, and we all get along great. I love toys—any kind, really—but stuffies, bones, and ropes are my favorites. If I can chew it, I’m a happy pup! I also love a good game of tug-of-war with my siblings… and sometimes I even let them win I get super excited to meet new people!
