Leon is a very strong boy with a lot of enthusiasm and gusto. He weighs 52 pounds and is excitable and jumpy. He is friendly with everyone he sees and wants to get to know them. He is affectionate and loves being petted. He was found as a stray and hopes you can offer him a home. We don't know yet if he is house trained but he does seem to know he is supposed to do his business outside. Please be patient if he needs a refresher course. He wants to lead the way while on a leash and does it with determination and eagerness. Try to keep up. He is very active and loves toys and running. He knows the sit command. We don't yet how he will behave around dogs or children. He is curious about and interested in his shelter neighbors and doesn't bark at them but his high-energy playfulness may be too much for calmer dogs. If you have a dog, they need to meet before you adopt him. Since he can be mouthy when he is overstimulated, he'll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. Please offer this lovable, handsome guy the home and family he needs. Kona, is a very sweet and playful dog. She is super smart and picks up on whatever you teach her really quickly, especially if you have food! She loves to go on walks and is both housebroken and kennel trained. She is currently about 8 months old. We adopted her from the Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue of Central Texas. We are trying to find her a good home because our daughter is too scared of her even though she is super gentle and never had any issues. Our daughter has a seizure disorder and we want to keep stress to a minimum. She still will play with her but after a little while she gets overwhelmed. Kona has really been the easiest dog we have ever had and would be a great addition to any family!

We’re going to let you in on a little FBCAS secret. Blaze’s tough guy image that he’s worked so hard to portray is FAKE. That’s right! He’s really a softie who craves cuddles and attention above all else. When you walk up to his kennel he greets you with rude sounding barking. Why would he put on a fake mean persona you ask? The answer is simple: the treat tax. He’s realized that if he pretends to be scary people will give him treats to try and win him over. And he’s right – we do! One treat is all it takes to become best friends. Then he’s instantly calm and ready to be loved on. Even though he’s not being honest, he is really cute. So we’re just going to keep letting him run his little scheme until he finds a home of his own. You’ll be rewarded too if you play into his hand. He is the cuddle master and just wants to snuggle up to you as much as possible.After you’ve payed the treat tax Blaze is calm, sweet, friendly, and submissive. He enjoys belly rubs and will take his treats like a sweetheart from your hand. He seems to have had some practice sitting on command too. He’s also gotten along well with other dogs in shelter playgroups.

How could you not fall for a smile this handsome? Russell is such a flirt – especially for treats! We’re not sure how people aren’t falling for him left and right! Russell is a 3YO Catahoula mix who came into the shelter as a stray with some other dogs on 11/3/23. He’s a very good boy who’s great at leash walking. He enjoys being let off leash to run around in the yard a little. He has an average energy level, so he doesn’t need a ton of exercise. Just a little keeps him happy! He keeps himself entertained, but he’ll also sit happily by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. The boy loves love! Russell has great focus when it comes to treats. Nothing will distract him from his snack! He already knows how to sit on command for one, and he’s sure to pick up more tricks with a little practice.

Heath loves a game of fetch, and he’s really good about bringing the ball back to you like he should. He has pretty good manners, but he’ll get excited waiting for you to throw the ball and his feet will start doing some tippy taps. He’s not all play though! He keeps it balanced by having a calm side. He’ll happily sit on command for a treat and enjoys having you pet him.
