Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. Roggenrola (named after the Pokémon by my 6YO; often called ‘Rola’) is a sweet, confident girl looking for a stable home. She takes a bit longer to warm up to people because she started life as a feral pup, but in her time with me she has evolved into a cuddle and playful pup. Rola does well with my 6YO and 9YO, but she can be a bit unsure of the sounds that come along with children. That’s eroded slowly, but she may adjust more quickly to a quieter household (although her brother is doing phenomenal with his 2YO best friend. She has a gold star in potty training and crate training; the crate is definitely her safe space, and she’ll wrap herself up in a blanket and put herself to bed with her soft toys. More often, though, she wants to cuddle on the bed or couch. Rola is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. Rola is very food motivated and a fast learner. She walks well on a leash, and, while she may pursue cats in the yard, she’s not reactive to them in the house or on a leash. She’s patiently waiting for her forever family! Story
Barley is the most lovable dog you could ever ask for. He is a giant cuddle monster that only wants one thing and that's to make you happy. He needs a lot of care and attention which is unfortunately why our family has to part ways with him. We cant give him the love and care he needs with how busy our lives are. He needs daily long walks and plenty of mental stimulation through games and training in order for him to succeed in life. With enough attention and care he will be the perfect partner. He does well with our other dog at home, but is very protective with other dogs that hes around with us. He has a prey mindset which makes him want to chase after little animals. He does great with our 2 cats at home. Him and our older dogs have had a handful of fights that require intervention, which stems from his lack of care needs. He has shown some unpleasant attitudes toward our 2 year old, another behavior stemming from lack of care. They would thrive together with the right care.

My fiancé and I found Mila on an old country road, way back out by our house. She was lost and tiny, skinny, starving, covered in fleas and whimpering. I always suspected her to have run away from some type of breeding house nearby, but we could never find where she came from. We wanted to hold onto her just until we found her a good home, but that kept getting pushed back as life went on. She is the sweetest and smartest girl who has such an energetic attitude but will also post up and chill with you. She's great around our friends & their kids, our family members & ALL of their pets, is potty trained and knows multiple commands (sit, down, speak, spin, go lay down in your cage, get out of the kitchen, etc.) My fiancé and I have run into some financial issues, and our schedules have been busy to the point we can't take proper care of her anymore. We figured it's time to find her a good, loving home. We have a cage, toys, blankets, bowls and some food for her. Please reach out!
