Story
Meet Ryder, a vibrant 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 51 pounds, ready to bring boundless joy and energy into your home! Eager to embrace every moment, I'm a spirited pup who finds delight in the simple pleasures of life. Quick-witted and responsive, I've already mastered sitting and revel in a good game of fetch. Leash walks are second nature to me, and I've aced the art of being housebroken. The convenience of a doggie door has added a new level of fun to my daily routine—I dash in and out, relishing the freedom of leaving my shelter days behind. While I can spend up to 6 hours in my crate, my heart yearns to be by your side, sharing love and companionship. I'm a social butterfly and get along famously with other dogs, especially my foster brother, who has become my cherished best pal. However, I must confess that feline friends are not my cup of tea, so a cat-free home would be my ideal haven. For an active family with older kids, I would be the perfect addition. I thrive on playtime and roughhousing, though a gentle reminder about my size and strength during moments of excitement would be appreciated. My tail? Well, it's practically an airplane propeller! Treat-wise, I have a soft spot for nylon stick BarkBones and a KONG filled with peanut butter. Ready to embark on a journey of love, laughter, and endless adventures? I'm Ryder, and I can't wait to bring my zest for life into your home! To see more pictures and videos of Ryder, copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Ryder by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-206 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). We only adopt in the USA. We are open to adopting in other states, except in Massachusetts. There are quarantine laws for MA and until these laws change, we are not able to adopt into MA.

Story
Say Hello to Dorothy❤️‍🔥, A Social Butterfly from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz 🐶 Our Dorothy is an explorer. She loves to see the world and to investigate new and interesting smells by having her nose to the ground during her walk. Dorothy is considerate. Even to her friends who approach her mischievously, Dorothy is playful and invites them to play. Dorothy is not shy away expressing her love. When you are spending time with her neighbour longer than expected (in her opinion), Dorothy actively reaches out to you through the hole of her crate and let you know to hurry. It is irresistible when Dorothy rests her head on your shoulder and meets your eyes. Like Dorothy in “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” our Dorothy is compassionate and courageous. She will bring good luck and charm to your life. Could you open your heart and home to this lovely girl?

Story
Meet AVO 💕 who was rescued from a Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. He is a little vocal in his cage, but he's just trying to get someone to give him some attention. Because every time we open his cage door, He stops barking and looks at us like a silent boy as if he never barked.😂 Avo is very excited seeing people but just wanted to engage and play. He was silly and playful, but did pull quite a bit. He's an active baby! He wanted to say to just about everyone!🖐 Wherever he goes, Avo brings joy. People cannot help but pet him! He's now in a professional training center so that he can learn basics. He's ready to be your family!!

Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Meet Dublin! Sweet Dublin  is a Shepherd/Rhodesian mix and is just coming up to 4 years old. He is a great dog who is so deserving of a loving home.  Sadly he lost his first home due to his owners moving, and now he is losing his second home for the same reason. Poor guy can't catch a break.  Dublin  is best buds with Tucker (also listed) and we have been trying to place them together for some time  without  any luck. We have no choice but to split them up and trust that each  boy  will do ok as long as they are with a loving and patient family.  Dublin is a good boy and will  make an excellent companion for someone. We are hoping to find him a new forever home before mid March so that he does not have to end up in a shelter.  Dublin is a big lover of the snow! He will be vaccinated, chipped and is neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
