Eerie enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and would train well for other activities or jobs. She does well off leash at the dog park, but is a bit leash reactive and needs some redirecting. Eerie would be a great running partner and is strong for hauling gear for backcountry hiking trips. She loves the outdoors, but also loves to snuggle under the blankets, play tug-a-war, and has had some training with 'Find It' type activities. Eerie loves toys and blankets, and prefers to be covered at night in her favorite one. She does not like to be cold and will seek a sunny spot by the window, or next to the heater. Eerie does have skin allergies that are managed with a hydrolyzed protein diet. She is healthy and strong, offering a little lift up the riverbank when the terrain is rough. Eerie loves children and has spent her life around all ages. She gives lots of kisses, but will be respectful if you prefer to not. Eerie has an ear for the slicing of a cucumber and will come! Yum.

I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road.
