Story
Hi, my name is Hannah and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Jun 19, 2024. I like to think I’m a pretty independent pup, but having a person to share life with is really all I want. When you’re out, you’ll usually find me cozied up on my blankets, soaking in the calm. I also love to sunbathe and take leisurely walks—I’m an easy, loose-leash walker and always happy to stop for some extra pets. I’m ready for a home that will shower me in belly scratches!

Someone took her to a vet where she had fifteen puppies! No microchip, no owner and no plan - rescues were contacted. She went home to nurse her babies on Ms. Laura's ranch while we made plans. Penny came to Caffeinated Canine and other rescues helped with the adoption plans for the babies. YouTube : https://youtu.be/IowpqOkljlk

Story
Meet Titi – Your New Best Friend! Titi is one of the friendliest young pups you’ll ever meet! This easygoing boy has a laid-back personality and would fit in perfectly with just about any family. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure, Titi is ready to be by your side. He’s a dream in the car—making him the perfect co-pilot for road trips or quick errands. Titi is crate-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs, especially those his size or smaller. If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable companion who’s always happy to make new friends, Titi is the one for you!We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. Story
[Randy is currently in a foster home in Delta, BC.] ⭐Background: In December 2022, during the bitter cold of winter, Randy was rescued from a dog meat farm in Ganghwa, Korea, along with 50 other lucky dogs. At first, he lived in a shelter with other rescues, but the crowded environment was overwhelming for him. To help Randy feel more at ease, the shelter manager welcomed him into his home, where he quickly became happier and more relaxed. Now, he’s in a foster home in Delta, BC, where he lives with another dog. ⭐Personality and Socialization: Randy has a calm, medium-to-low energy level. He loves cuddling with people but never demands attention—he’s content simply being near you, whether resting quietly by your side or snuggled up for warmth. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those who are gentle and friendly. Thoughtful and respectful, he understands boundaries—if another dog needs space, he’ll patiently sit beside them without intruding. Randy has not been tested with cats or young children. ⭐Behaviours: Laid-back and quiet indoors, Randy is a relaxed and easygoing companion. He’s well-mannered in the car, at the vet, and even during baths—while he may feel a little nervous in new situations, he trusts his humans to guide him. He walks well on a leash and enjoys peaceful strolls. He is also fully house-trained. His gentle, affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around, and he thrives in a calm environment where he feels safe and loved. ⭐Health and Diet: Randy is in excellent health. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, with negative parasite tests, including heartworms. He takes monthly parasite prevention and eats dry kibble twice a day with no known allergies. ⭐Ideal Home: Randy’s mellow and friendly nature makes him a great fit for many types of homes. Whether he’s the only dog, part of a family with another canine companion, or living with someone new to dog ownership, he will adjust with ease. He’d make a wonderful walking partner and is just as happy relaxing at home, enjoying quiet moments with his family. 💛Randy has spent two years waiting for a home of his own. While he has been loved and well cared for, nothing compares to the warmth of a real home. Having endured heartbreaking conditions in the dog meat trade, he deserves the chance to be a cherished family member. 💛Randy is ready for a life filled with love, comfort, and companionship. Give him a second chance, and he will repay you with endless love and loyalty. He truly deserves to experience the joy of family life—a life full of cuddles, peaceful walks, and the happiness of belonging. 🔗To learn more about Randy or to submit an adoption application directly with Free Korean Dogs, please follow the link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/randy/

Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping 2025 is his year! Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs. Please email for an application.
