Story
I got Ozzy from a coworker who has both parents. He’s about 20 weeks. We’re looking for a home with a fenced yard for him to run around in, parents with more time to take him on adventures and ideally another dog for him to play with. Adjectives used to describe Ozzy would include playful, energetic, loving, loyal, active, and smart.

Story
Here`s what my foster parent says about me: • `Vada is sweet and loving, she is calm, gentle, and well-mannered.`• `Vada is fully housetrained! She does great when left alone for a few hours. She has been trustworthy in the house and spends that time quietly napping on the couch or in her bed until her people return.`• `Vada is a perfect walking partner. She gets excited for walks and stands calmly to be harnessed. She enjoys short walks at a brisk pace with plenty of sniffing. She doesn’t pull and mostly ignores other dogs she passes.`• Vada sleeps soundly and independently through the night, happily curled up on the couch or in her bed.**My new family can name their own adoption fee!**

Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 6 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better, and continues to be on good salmon food and supplements. He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. Howie is a big snuggler and will want to share your bed! He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping he can find a home by the end of the year. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs., and is still in California, but can be transported to you in Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
KIM: The Professional Cuddle EnthusiastSome dogs enjoy affection.Kim has turned it into a full-time profession. If Kim could design her perfect day, it would include a nice walk, some playtime with other dogs, a few snacks, and an unreasonable amount of cuddling. In fact, if there were an Olympic event for receiving affection, we believe Kim would be a serious contender for a medal. What makes Kim especially remarkable is how quickly she decided to trust the good things in life. After spending much of her life surviving on the streets, one might expect her to be cautious, uncertain, or reluctant to adapt. Kim apparently disagreed with that plan completely.Instead, she embraced home life as though she had been practicing for it all along. She learned to walk on a leash, enjoys spending time indoors, comes when called, and loves being close to her people. Not near them. Not in the same room.Close.Kim firmly believes that humans were invented for petting dogs, and she sees no reason to question this conclusion.Additional photographic evidence supporting Kim's theories about humans and petting can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/kim-2026040dShe also loves other dogs and would be delighted to have canine friends to play with, provided they are as friendly and respectful as she is.At heart, Kim is simply a dog who wants to love and be loved. After everything life has asked of her, she remains gentle, trusting, playful, and endlessly affectionate. These days, Kim isn't looking for much.Just a family who enjoys walks, believes in regular cuddle sessions, and doesn't mind having a loyal little shadow following them around.Honestly, she has been preparing for that role her entire life. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Ranger is a mix of possibly the Carolina Dog and Black Mouth Cur breeds. DOB 1/21/26. He currently weighs about 24#s…and will probably grow to 45-50#s…best guess. He is so happy, energetic and playful. He enjoys playing with all dogs in my rescue…about 10 dogs of all ages and sizes. He knows how to use the doggy door. He doesn’t have any prey drive when we pass the cats on our outdoor walks. He is crate trained and house trained. Ranger has a sweet demeanor and is adventurous, playful, extroverted and a snuggly puppy. On his very first day walking on a leash, he was so excited and happy to meet people in my neighborhood. I was surprised how well he walked on a leash (like a pro), smelling and discovering new things. He is definitely food driven and enjoys playing and running and just having fun. Once he is tired, he goes to his crate and can sleep for hours. He enjoys the fan near his crate and soft music - he is so content that I sometimes have to wake him up to go outside to relieve himself. He is quirky and always happy with those beautiful eyes and his sweet-nature. You will enjoy having a Ranger (to protect you), by your side and to grow up with you and your family! Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Mustang Sally is a female Shepherd mix. DOB 2/1/26. She currently weighs about 22#...expected to get to be 40-50#s. She is a confident puppy learning her ways around the house. She enjoys playing with all 10 furry friends in our household. Mustang Sally is enthusiastic to meet strangers on the street when we walk. She quickly learned the art of walking on a leash. I was amazed by her skills and confidence in everything. She is a very happy, silly and affectionate puppy. She will be a great family dog…one that will give the kids exercise! I feel she will adapt well with cat owners because we have many on my street and she does not react to them. Mustang Sally will sit for food and learn many other common commands. She is crate trained and house trained. She loves car rides. She is very smart and mature for being a 5-mo-old puppy. I know she will please her owner and family. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption.
