You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ADOPTION PROCESS Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application.  Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check.  2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek).   If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Emma is a sweet 8-9 year old Rottie/mix. She was brought into the shelter as a stray, but it is obvious that she has had a home before.  Emma is house broken, trained, gets along with another non dominant dog, loves people and just a sweetheart, she is house broken and well mannered, smart and a quick learner.  Emma does have a dengenerative bone disorder in her front leg that gives her a limp.  It is not curable but  managable with pain and inflammatory medication.   Don't let her limp fool you, our girl still has tons of energy and life to live.  She loves playing with her toys and foster brother.  To meet this beautiful girl, fill out an adoption application if you live in the east valley.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 20, 2024, 10:38 am

Story
Hey there! My name is Lemongrass! That’s right.. Lemongrass. Quite catchy.. Isn’t it? 🙂 Now at first glance, I may look like a senior dog who fell into a bag of flour, but I’m not! I am actually a 2-year-old rottweiler mix with a skin condition called Vitiligo. I cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. But, it’s okay! Because I love rolling in the grass at dusk light. However make note, this also means that I will be on medication for life but, hear me, this also means my condition is manageable, so my foster family are optimistic and confident that I will comfortably live a long and healthy life! Now, my ideal home. Someone with Rottie or large breed experience. I have been through quite a bit of trauma in my early life, but I am a HAPPY BOY! But, I do require an adopter who understands the attitude of my breed. I THRIVE with a handler who has the confidence to lead and direct me. I’m also partial to males and people with a calmer demeanor. I would love for you to allow me to build trust with others in my own time. Now I have not been exposed to other large dogs so I don’t know if I can make a friend yet. I had to be alone during recovery. But just to play it on the safe side. No small kids, small dogs, or cats. Preferably, kids 14 and older. To conclude, I am a 100% companion dog. Would you like to meet me? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc1v1E8B3axFxgsn9_SqW_PDvNKrCtLVbfVunsDwfW4cSH13w/viewform
