Story
Gazan is amazing if you give him time to trust you before you put any pressure on him. He doesn't trust people too quickly, but it seems that it's a pretty solid relationship once you bond with him. It took me two weeks to get to that point, and it took my husband three weeks to get there with him. He does have a bite record. He bit his previous owner; Gazan was eating, and his owner stuck his arm through a pool fence to pet him, and Gazan got his hand. That is strange to think of him doing that because he seems very relaxed when eating. I have walked around him closely & picked up the water bowl next to his food bowl to refill it, and he didn't do anything, not even a growl or shift his weight or anything. I know that there were young teens in his original home, and he did fine with them. He is a ball freak, and you have to be willing to throw his ball for him - a lot. You have to have patience and contain yourself from touching him for at least a week or two. He will come to you when he is ready. He does not like strangers in his personal space, just like you or I don't, and he hates it as much as we do during Covid. I had a family come and meet him a couple of weeks ago, and they were playing with him, and he was doing great with them. Then he decided to take a little break and lay down on his bed. The dad decided to kneel right in front of his bed and talk to him, and he gave a little bark and a lunge to warn him to back up. That scared the guy, but Gazan didn't touch him, and as soon as the guy backed up, he was okay with him again. They were here with him for about an hour. I took him to a training class a couple of weeks ago, and rottweilers and their handlers surrounded us in 4-6 feet in all directions, and he was perfect. He walks perfectly on a leash and knows all his basic commands well in English and Armenian. He is highly treat and toy motivated, and that's also the quickest way to win his heart. From what I have observed, he matches the attitude of other dogs. If they are friendly, he is too. If they are aggressive, then game on. It's probably best to match him with a female, but he could enjoy a male friend. I recommend that he is not matched with a small dog. If you are looking for your companion dog to double as a guard dog, then Gazan is your guy. He can be very protective of the people he loves. He is a very smart dog, and his potential is only limited by the time that can not be invested in him. This dog can be a rockstar if you have time on your side! He is worth the trouble.

Story
Reggie is between 1 and  2 years old we believe. He is a male rottweiler.  He is  very sweet, loves to lick people once he gets to know them. He lacks self confidence and is scared of most new things and pretty much everything seems to be new to him. I'm not sure where he came from or why he is so frightened but with a little time and encouragement he will gain confidence. He has already improved a lot since we got him 2 weeks ago. He doesn't really have any skills but he smart and is starting to catch on. He can now walk on a leash at least. That wasn't possible te day he came to us.  His BFF is Jackson and Jackson is more scared then he is.  We rescued him off the euthanasia list at MCACC. They were going to kill him because he was scared . He has never shown aggression in any form towards any person or animal that we have seen. Not even a growl when I'm forcing him to do something that he didn't lie or was afraid of, like taking a bath. It seems like who ever owned him, left him out back and nobody interacted with them. I'll admit he does need some work, but if you make the effort, this boy will blossom and be incredibly loyal to you. I bet he becomes the best dog you have ever owned!!   Give Reggie the break he has been waiting for his whole life and you won't regret it. He is crate trained. He loves his crate actually! Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home.  An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states.  On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.

Story
Daisy's journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking, and yet, through it all, she has shown remarkable resilience and a capacity for love. Born in a puppy mill in Missouri, she faced unimaginable circumstances during her early months, confined to a cage with little human interaction. It's a painful reality that many dogs like her endure, but thankfully, Daisy found a glimmer of hope when an animal activist rescued her from an auction house where she was destined for a life of suffering. After her long journey to Arizona, it seemed that Daisy was finally on the path to happiness. However, her life took another tragic turn when the person who adopted her turned out to be untrustworthy, leading to a harrowing series of events that culminated in her being seized by authorities. Despite these challenges, Daisy's spirit shone through, and she blossomed into a confident and loving companion. For the past seven years, Daisy thrived in a loving home alongside her canine friend, Dragon. Their bond was a source of joy and comfort, especially for Daisy, who has faced so much loss and uncertainty. Now, at 10 years old, she finds herself back in rescue after the heartbreaking passing of her dad and the inability of her mom to care for her. It breaks our hearts to see Daisy in this situation again, but we are determined to find her a stable, loving forever home where she can flourish alongside Dragon. They complement each other beautifully, and we believe that keeping them together is essential for both their well-being. Daisy is a sweet girl who is crate trained, potty trained, and knows her basic commands. She gets along well with other dogs and children, though she's not a fan of cats. We are seeking a family who understands the commitment it takes to care for a dog with Daisy's historya family that will shower her with love and compassion for the rest of her days. It's time for Daisy to know the happiness and security she deserves. If you have room in your heart and home for both Daisy and Dragon, we would love to hear from you. Together, they can create new, beautiful memories and finally experience a happily ever after. Our Adoption Process... Story
Brook is a Purebred AKC registered female rottweiler puppy born 2/2/2025. She is a sweet puppy and is good with older kids in her foster home. She is curious about the cat but leaves her alone. The cat doesn't care how cute she is, she doesn't hesitate to put te puppy in her place. She loves to cuddle and loves people. She plays rough with other puppies. She is learning basic obedience and how to walk on a leash. All of our dogs would benefit from ongoing training. Training is mandatory with a puppy for your own sanity. Probably not a good fit with small dogs unless you are a really strong leader or intend to have her professionally trained and follow through with her training. She would be fine as an only dog. Story
MEET MILLIE!!! Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy? Meet Millie, a spirited and affectionate pup who's eager to become the light of your lives! This clever girl learns quickly and has a heart full of love, she's housebroken and generously shares kisses.  Millie adores toys, especially tennis balls and stuffed animals, and she's a master at extracting the squeaky parts in record time! Her adventurous spirit means she's always ready for fun, and while she loves exploring, she also enjoys cozy cuddles on the couch after a day of play. Millie has recently started participating in casual runs with her foster Dad and would make a great running/hiking partner! Millie thrives in an active household or one with a yard to romp around in. She's a fetch aficionado and is currently perfecting her leash skills. She gets excited when she spots rabbits or other dogs, but with continued guidance and practice, she'll become a fantastic walking companion. While we're still getting to know her preferences with kids, Millie seems to be a better fit for families with older kids (teen+). She's a friendly gal who loves to greet people on her hind legs, so be ready for enthusiastic hellos!   Millie has recently discovered her voice, and she loves to let you know when someone's at the door. Though she's crate trained, she prefers to be out and about with her favorite humans. With a confident and loving owner by her side, she'll continue to blossom. For now, Millie would thrive best as the only dog in the household. Millie is an incredibly sweet and loving companion just waiting for her forever home. If you're looking for a playful partner and a loyal snuggle buddy, Millie is the perfect fit for you! Come meet her today and see how she can brighten your life!  Check out Millies Video!!
