Story
Young Rottweiler male probably around 10 months old. He know sit, down, come, wait, spin, paw, and loves to show off his talent for a treat. Good with people and other dogs that he is introduced to properly. Knows basic obedience and walks well on a leash with a training collar. He is potty trained, crate trained and he does not mark everything he sees. All of our dogs would benefit from ongoing training.he is going to make someone so happy. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.

Story
On November 7, 2025, a man on his way to work passed a deceased Rottweiler puppy on the side of the highway near Eloy. This stretch of road has no houses or businesses for miles. About half a mile further, he spotted two more puppies alone in the desert near the roadway. He pulled over to help them and, after a couple of hours of trying, was finally able to coax both into his car. He took them to the shelter in Apache Junction, but they told him they had no space and suggested he either take them to Casa Grande or contact usso he chose to call us. The puppies are approximately 6-8 months old and appear to be littermates. They are fearful of people and have no training at all.. The male is slowly warming up and will allow brief petting, but the female, Jasmine, is still very fearful and will not allow handling. However, Both puppies are scheduled to go to our Trainer Amanda in New River on December 1 to start a board and train program. This will give them the best opportunity for success and allow their new owners to enjoy a puppy who already has all their obedience training can walk on a leash properly pays attention and is the best version of themselves. If you ask me, that's a pretty great bonus! We're hoping that we are able to choose who their new owners will be prior to them finishing their training program so that they can meet Amanda and go through a couple of handling lessons with them before they go to their new homes. Training sessions will be free for their adapter and you can go to as many training sessions as you feel you need for free as long as you do the training sessions at Amanda's location. How great is that? Our Adoption Process... Story
Gazan is amazing if you give him time to trust you before you put any pressure on him. He doesn't trust people too quickly, but it seems that it's a pretty solid relationship once you bond with him. It took me two weeks to get to that point, and it took my husband three weeks to get there with him. He does have a bite record. He bit his previous owner; Gazan was eating, and his owner stuck his arm through a pool fence to pet him, and Gazan got his hand. That is strange to think of him doing that because he seems very relaxed when eating. I have walked around him closely & picked up the water bowl next to his food bowl to refill it, and he didn't do anything, not even a growl or shift his weight or anything. I know that there were young teens in his original home, and he did fine with them. He is a ball freak, and you have to be willing to throw his ball for him - a lot. You have to have patience and contain yourself from touching him for at least a week or two. He will come to you when he is ready. He does not like strangers in his personal space, just like you or I don't, and he hates it as much as we do during Covid. I had a family come and meet him a couple of weeks ago, and they were playing with him, and he was doing great with them. Then he decided to take a little break and lay down on his bed. The dad decided to kneel right in front of his bed and talk to him, and he gave a little bark and a lunge to warn him to back up. That scared the guy, but Gazan didn't touch him, and as soon as the guy backed up, he was okay with him again. They were here with him for about an hour. I took him to a training class a couple of weeks ago, and rottweilers and their handlers surrounded us in 4-6 feet in all directions, and he was perfect. He walks perfectly on a leash and knows all his basic commands well in English and Armenian. He is highly treat and toy motivated, and that's also the quickest way to win his heart. From what I have observed, he matches the attitude of other dogs. If they are friendly, he is too. If they are aggressive, then game on. It's probably best to match him with a female, but he could enjoy a male friend. I recommend that he is not matched with a small dog. If you are looking for your companion dog to double as a guard dog, then Gazan is your guy. He can be very protective of the people he loves. He is a very smart dog, and his potential is only limited by the time that can not be invested in him. This dog can be a rockstar if you have time on your side! He is worth the trouble.

Story
Meet Banjo! This stunning 1-year-old Rottweiler is as sweet as he is handsome. Banjo may come off a bit shy or reserved when you first meet him, but don’t let that fool you—he just needs a little time to feel safe. Within a few hours, you’ll start to see his gentle personality peek through, and each day he grows more trusting and affectionate. Despite his initial nerves, Banjo has never shown an ounce of aggression—even when scared. He’s incredibly gentle and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs, especially his best friend Mila, a fellow Rottie also in our rescue. The two are very bonded, and we would love nothing more than to find them a forever home together. But if that’s not possible, we strongly believe Banjo would thrive in a home with at least one other dog to help build his confidence. Banjo is both potty and crate trained. Walks well on a leash and is learning basic commands.  Banjo is truly a diamond in the rough—loving, loyal, and just waiting for the right family (and maybe a furry sibling) to help him shine. 💎🐾 Our Adoption Process... Story
MEET MILLIE!! Looking to add a spark of joy to your life? Millie is your girl! This smart, spunky, and affectionate pup is eager to be your next adventure buddy and loyal best friend. Millie is house-trained, crate-trained, and full of personality. She loves tennis balls, stuffed toys (especially the squeaky ones!), and playing fetch like a champ. She’s recently started casual runs with her foster dad and would thrive as a hiking or jogging partner. At home, Millie is equal parts playful and cuddly. She enjoys exploring the yard or going on walks, then curling up for some cozy couch time. She’s working on perfecting her leash skills and can get excited when spotting other dogs or rabbits—but with consistency and guidance, she’s making great progress. Millie would do best in an active home with a secure yard and no other pets. While we’re still getting to know her around younger kids, she seems best suited for families with teens and up—especially since her greetings often involve happy hops and kisses! This sweet girl has recently found her voice and likes to keep watch for visitors. She’s alert, affectionate, goofy, and deeply loyal. Millie is ready to thrive with a confident, loving owner who can give her the structure and playtime she craves. Ready to meet Millie? Shadow loves two things--affection and food! She has an adorable "sad old man face," and she speaks in body wiggles that could knock you over. She goes by many nicknames: Sweet Angel, My Pretty Girl, Princess or Miss Wiggles. She answers to all. She has the cutest underbite and loves zoomies with things in her mouth. She knows sit, wait (before food), and ok. She makes lots of crazy sounds because she is not allowed to bark unless alarming her people. Shadow does not enjoy going into stores, but she does love running around outside. She loves to be groomed because she loves the attention and touching. When she is asking for love, she will give you her paw. She loves being picked up like a baby; she just wants contact all of the time.  Shadow is perfect and looking for a new home at no fault of her own. Her brother has attacked her and continues to be aggressive, so it is not safe and very stressful for her. Shadow is looking for a comfortable place to sleep and call her own. Meet Shadow today! Sweet ol' Hurricane Annie! She's been with the rescue for 9 years awaiting her forever home. She's only had one meet and greet the entire time (and that didn't go very well given how rambunctious she was when she was younger). Miss Annie has turned a new leaf in her older years. She's sweet, friendly, well trained, dog friendly (as long as the other dog is playful and submissive) and is great with kids.  She loves to snuggle in the bed, get "zoomies" but isn't a total hurricane anymore. Now, she's more of like one of those wind tunnels that come out of nowhere quickly with a burst of oomph but then are gone quickly and you're wondering what happened.   Annie loves to go on walks and is slowly learning that we don't have to be in a race, but she gets most of her exercise from swimming and running around the yard with her foster family.  *Annabelle is being treated for valley fever which includes daily AM/PM medication. She also get's an allergy shot every few months.
