Story
Hey there! My name is Lemongrass! That’s right.. Lemongrass. Quite catchy.. Isn’t it? 🙂 Now at first glance, I may look like a senior dog who fell into a bag of flour, but I’m not! I am actually a 2-year-old rottweiler mix with a skin condition called Vitiligo. I cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. But, it’s okay! Because I love rolling in the grass at dusk light. However make note, this also means that I will be on medication for life but, hear me, this also means my condition is manageable, so my foster family are optimistic and confident that I will comfortably live a long and healthy life! Now, my ideal home. Someone with Rottie or large breed experience. I have been through quite a bit of trauma in my early life, but I am a HAPPY BOY! But, I do require an adopter who understands the attitude of my breed. I THRIVE with a handler who has the confidence to lead and direct me. I’m also partial to males and people with a calmer demeanor. I would love for you to allow me to build trust with others in my own time. Now I have not been exposed to other large dogs so I don’t know if I can make a friend yet. I had to be alone during recovery. But just to play it on the safe side. No small kids, small dogs, or cats. Preferably, kids 14 and older. To conclude, I am a 100% companion dog. Would you like to meet me? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc1v1E8B3axFxgsn9_SqW_PDvNKrCtLVbfVunsDwfW4cSH13w/viewform

Parachute is a super sweet girl, she loves to give lots of kisses, loves belly rubs, she wants to please you all the time! But she does not like to be left alone. That’s when the destructive behavior happens. With more training I do believe she will be even better girl. She needs a lot of attention as she has been bounced around a few times in her short life and needs a great forever home! She knows how to sit, shake hands, lay down, leave it, etc She really really wants to please and can be very attentive

Story
Gazan is amazing if you give him time to trust you before you put any pressure on him. He doesn't trust people too quickly, but it seems that it's a pretty solid relationship once you bond with him. It took me two weeks to get to that point, and it took my husband three weeks to get there with him. He does have a bite record. He bit his previous owner; Gazan was eating, and his owner stuck his arm through a pool fence to pet him, and Gazan got his hand. That is strange to think of him doing that because he seems very relaxed when eating. I have walked around him closely & picked up the water bowl next to his food bowl to refill it, and he didn't do anything, not even a growl or shift his weight or anything. I know that there were young teens in his original home, and he did fine with them. He is a ball freak, and you have to be willing to throw his ball for him - a lot. You have to have patience and contain yourself from touching him for at least a week or two. He will come to you when he is ready. He does not like strangers in his personal space, just like you or I don't, and he hates it as much as we do during Covid. I had a family come and meet him a couple of weeks ago, and they were playing with him, and he was doing great with them. Then he decided to take a little break and lay down on his bed. The dad decided to kneel right in front of his bed and talk to him, and he gave a little bark and a lunge to warn him to back up. That scared the guy, but Gazan didn't touch him, and as soon as the guy backed up, he was okay with him again. They were here with him for about an hour. I took him to a training class a couple of weeks ago, and rottweilers and their handlers surrounded us in 4-6 feet in all directions, and he was perfect. He walks perfectly on a leash and knows all his basic commands well in English and Armenian. He is highly treat and toy motivated, and that's also the quickest way to win his heart. From what I have observed, he matches the attitude of other dogs. If they are friendly, he is too. If they are aggressive, then game on. It's probably best to match him with a female, but he could enjoy a male friend. I recommend that he is not matched with a small dog. If you are looking for your companion dog to double as a guard dog, then Gazan is your guy. He can be very protective of the people he loves. He is a very smart dog, and his potential is only limited by the time that can not be invested in him. This dog can be a rockstar if you have time on your side! He is worth the trouble.

Story
Purebred Rottweiler. Good with people after you give him time to trust you. he generally likes everyone but he doesn't want strangers telling him what to do or invading his personal space. Once you get to know him, he is very sweet, and loves to cuddle. He has been professionally trained but is stubborn with people he doesn't know very well. If you invest the time into him, he will be an amazing friend and protector. He does not care for other dogs but is now able to walk past them and no longer reacts to them. He has had several foster home (at no fault of his own) and every foster was heartbroken that they could no longer care for him. He really is a great guy for the home that has no small kids (not that he is agressive towards them when he sees them or anything, just because he has no experience with them, and loves being the only baby in the house, and a home with no other pets, and an owner that can show him leadership. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $400 for most adults, $250 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.

Story
This sweet little baby has a sad story to tell; I think what she's been through is horrific. Sandy spent the first seven years of her life chained to a horse trailer. Apparently, it was her job to guard it, until one day her owner sold the trailer and dropped her off at the humane society, where she spent another full year before they contacted us, and we went and got her. Now, at 8 years old, Sandy finally has a chance to find happiness in her life! Considering all this, you might expect a girl with serious behavior issues. I hesitated a half a minute before agreeing to take her, but she has been an absolute dream to have here. Sandy is crate trained and goes right in & never complains. She loves to eat her dog food. Sandy walks pretty well on a leash, all things considered; she will bump into you a lot but doesn't pull at all. She has had no accidents in the house. Sandy has been awesome with all the dogs here. She is just an older dog that would love some owners who will pet her and pay attention to her once in a while. She is in great shape. I would never guess her to be 8 years old! Won't you give Sandy the life she deserves?
