Story
Meet Confetti — A Gentle Rottweiler Looking for Her Forever Home Hi there… my name is Confetti, and even though my story started out a little sad, I’m hoping it ends with you. I’m about three years old, full of love, and ready to find a family who will see me for the sweet, wiggly girl I am. Just before Christmas, I found myself alone and wandering, and I ended up at the county pound as a stray. I waited and waited, hoping someone would come looking for me, but no one ever did. I didn’t understand why, but I kept my heart soft and my tail ready to wag. Then something wonderful happened — Central Arizona Animal Rescue came and pulled me out of the shelter so I could have a second chance. I’ll stay here with them until the perfect home comes along. Maybe that home is yours. A Little About Me I may be a Rottweiler, but I’m more of a leaning, wiggling, gentle lovebug than anything else. When you pet me, I like to lean my whole body against you — it’s my way of saying “I trust you” and “please don’t stop.” And when I wag my tail, well… my whole body joins in. I can’t help it. Happiness just takes over. I’m a little camera shy, so I might look serious in photos, but in person I’m soft, sweet, and eager to be close. I’m still learning that the world is safe and that people want to love me, but every day I open up a little more. What We Know (and Don’t Know Yet) I’m very gentle and submissive, so the rescue thinks I’d probably be good with kids, though we haven’t tested that yet. We don’t know how I feel about other dogs or cats yet — I haven’t had the chance to meet them in a safe, controlled way. I’m about three years old, which means I’m past the puppy chaos but still young enough to learn, grow, and bond deeply with my new family. A Bit About My Breed Rottweilers like me are known for being loyal, intelligent, and deeply devoted to our families. We’re often misunderstood because of our big heads and strong bodies, but inside, many of us are soft-hearted companions who just want to be close to our people. We’re working dogs by nature, which means we love having a purpose — whether that’s learning new tricks, going on walks, or simply being your steady, loving shadow. With proper guidance, kindness, and structure, Rottweilers become some of the most reliable and affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. I’m already well on my way — I just need someone who will help me continue to blossom. What I’m Hoping For I’m dreaming of a home where someone will look at me and see more than a stray who was forgotten. I want someone who will see my gentle eyes, my wiggly tail, and my hopeful heart. Someone who will give me time to settle in, patience as I learn, and love that lasts forever. If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you, lean into you, and celebrate every moment by shaking her whole body with joy, I might be your girl. Want to Meet Me? I’d really love that. Story
Young Rottweiler male probably around 10 months old. He know sit, down, come, wait, spin, paw, and loves to show off his talent for a treat. Good with people and other dogs that he is introduced to properly. Knows basic obedience and walks well on a leash with a training collar. He is potty trained, crate trained and he does not mark everything he sees. All of our dogs would benefit from ongoing training.he is going to make someone so happy. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.

Story
Gazan is amazing if you give him time to trust you before you put any pressure on him. He doesn't trust people too quickly, but it seems that it's a pretty solid relationship once you bond with him. It took me two weeks to get to that point, and it took my husband three weeks to get there with him. He does have a bite record. He bit his previous owner; Gazan was eating, and his owner stuck his arm through a pool fence to pet him, and Gazan got his hand. That is strange to think of him doing that because he seems very relaxed when eating. I have walked around him closely & picked up the water bowl next to his food bowl to refill it, and he didn't do anything, not even a growl or shift his weight or anything. I know that there were young teens in his original home, and he did fine with them. He is a ball freak, and you have to be willing to throw his ball for him - a lot. You have to have patience and contain yourself from touching him for at least a week or two. He will come to you when he is ready. He does not like strangers in his personal space, just like you or I don't, and he hates it as much as we do during Covid. I had a family come and meet him a couple of weeks ago, and they were playing with him, and he was doing great with them. Then he decided to take a little break and lay down on his bed. The dad decided to kneel right in front of his bed and talk to him, and he gave a little bark and a lunge to warn him to back up. That scared the guy, but Gazan didn't touch him, and as soon as the guy backed up, he was okay with him again. They were here with him for about an hour. I took him to a training class a couple of weeks ago, and rottweilers and their handlers surrounded us in 4-6 feet in all directions, and he was perfect. He walks perfectly on a leash and knows all his basic commands well in English and Armenian. He is highly treat and toy motivated, and that's also the quickest way to win his heart. From what I have observed, he matches the attitude of other dogs. If they are friendly, he is too. If they are aggressive, then game on. It's probably best to match him with a female, but he could enjoy a male friend. I recommend that he is not matched with a small dog. If you are looking for your companion dog to double as a guard dog, then Gazan is your guy. He can be very protective of the people he loves. He is a very smart dog, and his potential is only limited by the time that can not be invested in him. This dog can be a rockstar if you have time on your side! He is worth the trouble.

Story
Meet Banjo! This stunning 1-year-old Rottweiler is as sweet as he is handsome. Banjo may come off a bit shy or reserved when you first meet him, but don’t let that fool you—he just needs a little time to feel safe. Within a few hours, you’ll start to see his gentle personality peek through, and each day he grows more trusting and affectionate. Despite his initial nerves, Banjo has never shown an ounce of aggression—even when scared. He’s incredibly gentle and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs, especially his best friend Mila, a fellow Rottie also in our rescue. The two are very bonded, and we would love nothing more than to find them a forever home together. But if that’s not possible, we strongly believe Banjo would thrive in a home with at least one other dog to help build his confidence. Banjo is both potty and crate trained. Walks well on a leash and is learning basic commands.  Banjo is truly a diamond in the rough—loving, loyal, and just waiting for the right family (and maybe a furry sibling) to help him shine. 💎🐾 Our Adoption Process... Story
HELLO FUTURE FAMILY! I'M CASEY!   Your soon-to-be best friend, adventure buddy, and professional tail-wagger! Hi there! My name is  Casey , and I’m a 2½-year-old Doberman mix with a heart as big as my paws and a smile that could melt a snowstorm. I’ve been hanging out at this awesome rescue since I was just a little pup (about 3 months old!), but now I’m all grown up and ready to find my forever home. Could it be with you? Let me tell you a little about myself:   Personality Plus : I’m a sweet, gentle soul who LOVES everyone—kids, grown-ups, and other dogs too! I’m the kind of guy who makes friends wherever I go. I’m also super quiet—seriously, I hardly ever bark. I’m more of a “strong, silent type” with a soft heart.   Smart Cookie : I’m a quick learner and super smart, so training me will be a breeze! I’ve never lived inside a house before, so I’ll need a little help with house training—but I promise I’ll try my best and learn fast!   Adventure-Ready : Whether it’s a walk in the park, a road trip, or just lounging in the backyard, I’m up for anything as long as I’m with you. I’ve got a curious spirit and a wagging tail that’s always ready to go!   Family Ties : My brothers and I were rescued together. Two of them have already found their homes, but my brother Cohen and I are still waiting. Maybe you’ve got room for two?   Cat Curious : I’ve never met a cat before, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them—but I’m open to new experiences!   Health Check! I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. I’m ready to go!   Let’s Meet! If you’re ready to meet your new best friend (that’s me!), just send an email to  mike@caaronline.org  to set up a playdate. I’ll be waiting with my tail wagging and my heart open. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
