Story
Molly is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who thrives on love, cuddles, and being part of the family. She enjoys spending time with her humans, going on walks, and being included in everyday life. Molly knows some basic commands and is eager to please. She truly shines in a calm, loving environment where she can be the center of attention. While she’s a wonderful companion to people, she does struggle with anxiety around other dogs. Out of fear, she has had incidents with our other dog, which is why we’re making the difficult decision to rehome her. For her happiness and well-being, we’re looking for a home where she can be the only pet. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, and sweet companion to share your life with—and you have a pet-free home—Molly could be the perfect fit for you. Please reach out if you’re interested in learning more about her or setting up a meet-and-greet. We want to make sure she finds the loving home she deserves.

Story
Bruce is a three year old pure bread Rottweiler born 2/8/2023, he is a very loving puppy who loves to get attention and to cuddle, he does need to be introduced to other dogs slowly but will warm up to them, he lives with a kitten and they get along great, he also has no issues with kids of all ages and is very gentle, we had to relocate from California to Arizona and he is now stuck in an apartment and he is not a good dog for an apartment, he needs room to run and stretch his legs and we just cannot give that to him at this time, we do what him to go to a loving home preferably with someone who is familiar with the breed.

Story
Twilight was a stray dog in Phoenix that was rescued by teachers at a school after following kids at a cross walk into the campus. We weren't able to find owners. She is very friendly with young kids and dogs and would do well with cats due to her young age. She is about 4 months old and very smart and trainable. She learned the doggie door after showing her 1 time and was almost completely potty trained in 1 day with treat rewards . Very fast learner compared to all other puppies I've fostered (all time record honestly). She is very food motivated which makes training a lot easier. Great with my 8 year old daughter and special needs son. Is fostered with a GSD and Chow mix. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready for adoption. She loves walks and does very well on the leash. She loves to cuddle and lay on her humans and the kids in the bed. We don't allow her to be on the sofa, but she is allowed on beds in our foster home. She is crated when we aren't home and at first wasn't a fan, but is adjusting. She can be a little timid towards men walking around the neighborhood, but when in the home she is fine with male friends or meeting my husband for example for the first time. This is probably due to being on her own at the start of her life and having a bad experience. She loves toys and naps throughout the day. The walks really help her with her puppy energy and making sure she isn't too hyper. Luckily they don't even have to be really long, but make a big difference. She is really the best 4 month puppy I've ever had temperament wise. Let me know if you are interested in meeting her or have any questions. Her adoption fee is $375. Thanks! Story
Hi, I’m Ninja… and I’m Looking for My Forever Home &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Hi there… my name is Ninja, and even though it sounds like I’m supposed to be fearless and tough, I’m still working on finding my courage again. I’m probably a Rottweiler mix — that’s what everyone thinks when they see me — but no one knows for sure. What I do know is that I’m a good boy with a big heart who really, really wants a family of my own. I was just a tiny puppy when I was adopted from Central Arizona Animal Rescue (CAAR). I grew up in a home with another dog and two small children — that was the only world I knew for over two years. I learned how to be gentle with kids, play with another dog, and follow my humans around the house. I loved having my own people. Then, one day, everything I knew disappeared. My family returned me to CAAR. I didn’t understand why. Walking back into the shelter after knowing nothing but a home was terrifying. The sounds, the strange smells, the new faces… everything felt too big and too loud. For the first week, I was so scared I could barely stop shaking. But the people at CAAR didn’t give up on me. They spoke softly, moved slowly, and gave me space until I was ready. And then something amazing happened — they introduced me to Lexi, my new dog friend. She’s confident and outgoing, and she seems to think the world is a fun place. So I started watching her… and little by little, I began to think maybe she’s right. Lexi has helped me learn that the shelter isn’t so scary. We play together, we relax together, and she shows me how to be brave when things feel overwhelming. I really like having her around — she makes me feel safe. And now… I’m ready to try again. I’m ready to hope. A Little More About Me &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Probably a Rottweiler mix &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Great with small children &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Great with other dogs &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Neutered &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Microchipped &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Current on all vaccinations &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Sweet, gentle, and just needs some confidence &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Needs the training I didn’t get as a puppy — but I’m eager to learn &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 What I’m Looking For Someone patient. Someone kind. Someone who understands that I’ve been through a lot of big changes in a short amount of time. I’m not the dog who’s going to run through your door and instantly act like I’ve lived with you forever. I’m the dog who will watch quietly at first — learning your voice, your routine, the way your hand moves when you reach to pet me. But once I know I’m safe? I’ll love you with my whole heart. I’d do best in a home with another friendly dog (like Lexi!) and with people who don’t mind giving me time to settle in. Kids? I’m already used to them. Other dogs? I grew up with one. A stable, loving family? That’s what I dream about every night. If You Choose Me… I’ll give you loyalty. I’ll give you trust. I’ll give you love that grows stronger every day. I’ll work hard to learn the things I didn’t get to learn when I was small. And I’ll be grateful — deeply, quietly grateful — every single day. Want to Meet Me? If you think you might be the person who can help me become brave again, I’d really love to meet you. Please email: mike@caaronline.org I’m waiting — hopeful, healing, and ready for my forever family. Story
Clifford is a BIG boy who`s all LEGS. He doesn`t always realize just how big he is, but he is 100% pure goofball. One of his favorite activities is playing catch - he even gives the ball back to you!Since he came in as a stray we don`t know what kind of home he lived in prior, so we don`t know his history with other dogs, children, or cats. He`s been a bit bossy with the dogs here at the shelter, so he`ll need someone who can keep up with his BIG energy.
