Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Draco is a quick learner and very silly, with lots of energy and a love for play time. However, since I got pregnant, I have no longer been able handle his strength. Draco is very sweet and needs a loving home. He’s very protective of his loved ones, and is good with people for the most part. He grew up with dogs and cats in his home, but just because of what breed he is, he needs to be supervised for the most part. This breed is known for not being well with children, so I have avoided exposing him to any. He is crate trained as well, so you can leave him in one whenever you leave the house and he should be fine. I would prefer his future home has a fenced in yard if possible for him to run around since he needs a good amount of space.
