We got Sammy as a covid puppy at 6 weeks old. My now ex-wife worked from home so she always had someone to let her out. She rarely had accidents in the house. Do to some unfortunate circumstances we had to separate a little over a year ago. I leave for work before 6 and get home after 8pm some nights. I feel bad locking her in a cage for all those hours just for a couple hours of freedom then right back in for the night. I have tried a bunch of different things but its just not working out. I gave it a real shot but its not fair to either of us. She sweet and cuddly and snorts like a little piglet when she gets happy. She is a lazy baby that would be a great companion to other dogs or people. She has a younger sister that we got as a stray that is full of energy and she keeps up with her as far as overbearing energy lol. It breaks my heart to do this but it is better for the both of us. She deserves more.

Meet Rowdy Zane—a very sweet, affectionate boy who is approximately two years old, weighs about 90 pounds and is a world-class professional leaner. His love language is definitely touch, and he’s happiest pressed against his people, soaking up all the affection he can get. Belly rubs are also high on his list of favorite things - and he’s happy to accept them whenever you’re available. Rowdy has never met a stranger. He is extremely social, loves everyone he meets - adults and children alike and greets life with happy, friendly enthusiasm. He has a nice medium energy level. He enjoys playful bursts of bouncing and galloping around the yard, but once the fun is over, he’s equally talented at relaxing. Rowdy is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy: if you’re heading out on an adventure, he’s ready to come along; if you need him to relax in his crate for a few hours, he’s perfectly happy doing that too. He gets along beautifully with other dogs even in a foster home with 21 canine roommates! He isn’t especially interested in wrestling or playing with them, so he could be perfectly happy living with other dogs or being your one-and-only. Rowdy rides very well in the car, especially when he has enough room to stretch out. We believe he may be a Rottweiler/flat-coated retriever mix. His coat is beautiful and soft, with just a little wave to it - perfect for all the petting he plans to collect. Rowdy is a big, strong dog who gets excited when he sees someone he’d like to meet, so he could use a little polishing on his leash manners. Fortunately, he is treat-motivated, eager to please and a willing student. With consistent practice and positive reinforcement, he should be walking beautifully on a leash in no time. When Rowdy gets especially excited, he can also be a little mouthy and may gently put a hand or forearm in his mouth. It is playful excitement, not aggression or biting, and he responds well to redirection. He isn’t a big jumper, but because he is a large, exuberant fellow who may accidentally knock over a smaller child, a home with children ages 10 and older would be the best fit. Meet Riley, affectionately known as “Bear”! Riley is a sweet, playful, smart, and loving 7-year-old rescue. We found her on the side of the road when she was 8–12 weeks old, and she has been deeply loved ever since. She is spayed, house-trained, crate-trained, and knows many basic commands. She loves people, cuddling, playing with toys, chasing a ball, and receiving praise and attention.We are heartbroken to rehome Riley. Despite extensive training and lifestyle changes, she has attacked our other dog four times over their 6 years together, resulting in veterinary care and trauma for our other dog. With a baby now in our home, we feel a single-dog home is the safest and best environment for everyone.Riley has never bitten a person. She has had no issues with our 4-month-old, but her behavior around older children and cats is unknown. We would feel no child home is best. She would thrive with someone who can give her lots of love, attention, play, and continued positive training.
