Story
Meet Waldo - Your Sunshine-Loving, Big-Hearted Buddy German Shepherd/Hound Mix 70 lbs Dog-Friendly (Medium/Large Dogs Only) Waldo is one of those dogs who greets the world with a smile. This handsome German Shepherd/Hound mix, weighing around 70 pounds, has been stuck in a boarding facility far too long, patiently waiting for someone to finally choose him. It's time for Waldo's story to change - and he could be the perfect match for the right family. Waldo LOVES people and does wonderfully with children. He's playful, friendly, and happiest when he's outside soaking up the sunshine. Whether it's running around, exploring the yard, or just lounging in the warm grass, Waldo is in his element outdoors. He gets along great with dogs his own size or larger, but he should not live with small dogs or cats. With dogs in his weight class, he's social, playful, and enjoys having a buddy to romp with. Despite waiting so long, Waldo's spirit is still bright. He just needs someone to give him a real chance - someone who will take him out of the boarding life and into a loving home where he can relax, play, and finally feel like he belongs. Waldo's Best Qualities: Friendly, happy, and loves people Great with children Dog-friendly (with medium/large dogs) Playful, energetic, and loves being outdoors Sunshine is his favorite thing Handsome German Shepherd/Hound mix Has waited a long time and deserves a true forever home Waldo is ready to bring joy, energy, and companionship into someone's life. If you're looking for a loyal, playful friend who will brighten your days, Waldo is waiting with a wagging tail. Please contact Teresa to discuss Waldo 404-281-8878

Story
Hi! My name is Rowdy Zane, and I’m a handsome Rottweiler—possibly with a little Black Retriever mixed in. I’m a big, lovable guy, at around 85 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you. I’m one of the sweetest, friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet. I get along beautifully with just about everyone and everything. Right now I’m living in a foster home with more dogs than you can imagine, and we all coexist peacefully. I’m respectful of the other dogs and enjoy their company, but I don’t really engage in play with them. I’m perfectly happy simply sharing my space, so I’d do wonderfully in a home with another friendly dog that enjoys the same laid-back lifestyle. I also don’t depend on having another dog around for companionship, which means I’d make a fantastic only dog, happily soaking up all the love and attention from my family. I’m an easygoing, happy-go-lucky dog with a gentle soul, but I definitely have my playful side too! I get bursts of energy where I love to run, play, and have fun, but once I’ve gotten my wiggles out, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax with my people. People are my favorite! My love language is touch, and I especially enjoy leaning against you for affection. Snuggles are one of life’s greatest pleasures, and if you’ll let me, I’ll happily stay close by your side. I’m very social and would make an excellent companion for dog-friendly patios, outdoor restaurants, breweries, and cafés. I’ll happily relax by your side while you enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. I’m not much of a barker, and I’m not the type to jump all over people. I’m simply happiest being close to my humans. I’m house-trained and crate-trained, so I’ve already mastered some of the most important house manners. I’m very smart, highly treat-motivated, and eager to please, which makes me a lot of fun to train. Like many young, enthusiastic dogs, I can gently mouth your hands when I’m excited, so I’ll need some continued guidance to help me learn better ways to express my excitement. I could also use a little polishing on my leash manners, but with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, I’ll catch on quickly. My foster family is confident I’ll continue to blossom with a little training and structure. I’ve been told I have beautiful, soulful eyes, the sweetest smile, and a gorgeous mostly black coat with just a touch of wave to it. Because I’m a big boy, I’d probably be happiest in a single-family home with a yard where I have room to stretch my legs. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, easygoing companion who enjoys adventures just as much as quiet evenings together, I might be the perfect match. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! *Temporary Medical Update Rowdy is currently sporting a splint on his front left leg due to a broken toe that he came into rescue with. The good news is that it’s healing well, and he should only need the splint for another couple of weeks. The funniest part? Rowdy doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal at all! It certainly hasn’t slowed him down, and he’s adapted remarkably well. He still enjoys life, loves being with his people, and is every bit the happy, affectionate dog described above. Rowdy is available for adoption now, and the rescue will cover all veterinary expenses related to his toe until it is fully healed and the splint is no longer needed. So don’t let a temporary splint keep you from meeting your new best friend - it will be off before you know it! Hi, I’m Moose! I’m a senior dog with a heart full of love. I’m quite the friendly chap, always curious about the world around me. Story
HI, I'M SHANNON, I LOVE KIDS AND OTHER DOGS. I HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED AND AM A VERY SMART GIRL. PLEASE APPLY AT WWW.BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG/APPLICATIONS OR INQUIRE AT INFO@BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME. Meet Shannon, a beautiful, young Rottweiler/Black and Tan Coonhound mix with a heart as lovely as her striking looks. At about 21/2 years old and 55 pounds, she has an athletic build, a gorgeous coat, and an even more beautiful personality. Shannon is sweet, friendly, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a playful spirit, enjoys being active, and would love a family that will include her on daily walks, hikes, or other adventures. After a day of fun, she's just as happy to relax and be by your side. This smart girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and was professionally trained at Rucker's Dog Training, where she learned excellent manners and many commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a well-behaved dog. Shannon's story began with uncertainty. She was found as a stray and brought to Walton Animal Control, where her future was far from guaranteed. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in time. Now all she needs is the one thing she has never truly had--a loving forever home. Shannon has so much love to give and is ready to share her loyal heart with a family of her own. Could you be the one to give this deserving girl the happy ending she's been waiting for? If you're interested in adopting Shannon, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.August 5, 2026, 2:49 am

Val is a breeder surrender. Her feet are deformed. See photos. She will likely not live a full life due to her deformities. The bones in her feet are floating. She is basically walking on her femur bones. We cant predict when her time will come, but she still deserves a home and a family until then.

I love him so much. I just don’t have the time for him working full-time job and living in an apartment. I want him to have a place to run around and have fun. He comes with a cage and all his toys.
