Story
Meet Honey!A 48lb, 2-year-old, Rottweiler mix who was found abandoned in a trailer with busted-out windows during sub-zero temperatures. Ice had formed across the floor, and Honey was left trying to survive the bitter cold. To make matters worse, he was covered in paint, as if he’d been discarded along with the mess. Despite everything he endured, Honey’s spirit remained unshaken.True to his name, Honey is incredibly sweet. He greets people with gentle eyes and a soft, hopeful presence. There isn’t a bitter bone in his body—just a quiet resilience and a big heart ready to love again. Honey is especially interested in other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion who can show him the ropes and share in his newfound safety and comfort. After surviving the cold and neglect, Honey deserves a warm home, a soft bed, and a family who will never let him feel abandoned again. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@johnsoncounty.in.gov for an application. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can set an appointment to meet the pet!

Story
Meet Sophie! She’s a spunky lady who loves playing with balls. She’ll toss a ball around herself and then bring it right back for another round of fetch! She’s silly, full of personality, and loves to steal the spotlight. Sophie can be a little nervous around new faces, but she warms up given time. We believe a home with older kids would be a good fit. She can be wary around new dog friends and needs slow introductions. If you’re ready for endless ball games and lots of fun, Sophie can’t wait to join your crew!Cats- I will need a cat free home!*ADOPTION SPONSORED*

Story
Benny is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Benny is a 2-year-old Rottweiler who is a big, dopey, affectionate dog. He loves being around people, wants to please, and has a very sweet personality. He can be a little nervous and overstimulated in new situations and sometimes struggles to settle when things get exciting. He has a great relationship with our other dog. He'd do best with a family without small children that can continue his training and keep him active. If you are interested in Benny, PLEASE CALL or TEXT: 317-531-0309. ***Please contact the owner/foster directly***
