Boba Tea’s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & greetCats - No cats, pleaseKids - Best in a home with kids 14 and upBoba Tea is what we like to call a loyal little legend. She’s housebroken, smart, and full of love for her people. Once she trusts you, she’ll be your biggest fan. She’s not looking for a packed social calendar. She’s looking for real connection. She came to us as a stray and is currently being treated for heartworms. We’re covering her medical care, and she’s handling treatment like a champ. What she needs now is a soft place to land and someone who truly gets her. She’s looking for a calm, consistent home with people who respect her space and understand the value of earning a dog’s trust.Boba Tea can be nervous in new situations and around strangers, but she’s not impossible, just particular. She doesn’t want to be everyone’s best friend, but she will absolutely be someone’s everything. Because of her protective side and sensitivity to fast movements, she needs a home with teens or adults where everyone can give her the space and kindness she needs to settle in.Boba Tea isn’t a project. She’s a partner. And if you believe good things are worth a little patience, she just might be the one.

Story
PJ`s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - Cat cohabitation deniedKids - Yes, 12 and upPJ is a soulful, sunshine-loving Rottweiler mix with a wiggly hello and a heart full of warmth. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and knows several commands like sit, shake, and fist bump. A pro at fetch and a champion napper, PJ is happy to hang out while you go about your day, offering quiet companionship and the occasional goofy grin. She came to HSHC after her longtime owner, who found her back in 2019, could no longer care for her due to medical reasons. It was a heartbreaking goodbye, but PJ is ready to start her next chapter with someone who will love her just as deeply.PJ would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can be your one and only. She isn’t a fan of other dogs and can feel overwhelmed in busy places, so peaceful walks and a quiet yard are more her style. While she enjoys her short strolls, time spent in a fenced yard with her person would be just as wonderful. PJ has arthritis in her knees and does best with joint supplements, pain management, and a cozy bed—but she’s still mobile, playful, and full of life. She’s been sweet with kids in the past, but due to some food guarding, she`ll do best in a home with respectful kids aged 12 and up who understand when to give her space.PJ has a way of turning ordinary moments into something unforgettable. She’s loyal, loving, and endlessly endearing. Meet her once and you’ll understand why we’ve all fallen for her.

Story
When asked to describe Teddy, our volunteers responded "he's perfect, no notes".....and while we might be a little biased, we can say Teddy is pretty darn great. Teddy is a lover, a very sweet boy! He seems starved for attention but isn’t quite sure what to do with it when he gets it. You can tell he is young and eager to please, but occasionally he gets over excited. Teddy is very treat motivated but sometimes loses focus and needs direction. He'll need an adopter who understands his size and strength - even when he's full of energy! Teddy has just started to understand toys and how much fun they can be! He was very proud of himself when he discovered the rope toy....spending the next few minutes prancing around showing everyone what he had found. He has seen dogs through the fence and reacts loudly - lots of barking. We have not introduced him to dogs otherwise. Teddy does have itchy skin and will likely have lifelong allergy issues. Due to his size and his very big bark, we will not adopt Teddy to a family with an apartment. He's so easy to love and we know the perfect family is out there waiting! *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis.

Story
This sweet girl is an absolute dream—gentle, well-mannered, and incredibly responsive. She doesn’t bark, is fully house-trained, and walks beautifully on leash (even though she has to sniff everything first!). She’s been calm and kind around people, children, and other dogs, with shy-but-playful energy in dog meetups. She does have a history of chasing lights and shadows—likely from past laser pointer play—and her cherry eye may need future surgery, which can be done post-adoption. If you`re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a heart of gold, she`s ready to meet you!

Story
🩵 Meet Scooby Doo~ Sweetest Mystery to Unravel 🩵 A big, sensitive softie looking for his forever home! Scooby Doo is a 5-year-old gentle giant (115 lbs!) who’s been through a lot but still has so much love to give. Originally adopted from IndyHumane in 2023, Scooby found himself back in need when his previous owner could no longer care for him. At first glance, Scooby can seem a little intimidating — he’s large, strong, and sometimes greets new things with a loud bark. But don’t let that fool you — underneath it all is a big scaredy-dog who just needs a little time and patience to build trust. Everyone who has taken the time to befriend Scooby has found him to be an absolute angel! Once you’re in Scooby’s circle, he’ll melt your heart with his goofy grin, snuggles, and love for belly and butt scratches. He’s incredibly sweet and loves to be near his people — he’ll happily hang out watching the world go by through the window or curl up next to you for a nap. A few things to know about Scooby Doo: 🐾 Neutered, crate-trained, muzzle-trained, and potty-trained (can hold it 10–12 hours!). 🐾 Knows “sit,” “shake” with both paws, “down,” “wait,” and “gentle” — and he’s a treat-catching pro! 🐾 Walks beautifully on leash when there’s nothing to worry about and is very treat-motivated. 🐾 Loves toys, playing fetch, puzzle boxes, frozen Kongs, and even ice cubes! 🐾 Good with other dogs — he was a playgroup rockstar at IndyHumane. 🐾 Perfect house manners — no begging, no counter surfing, and he’s trustworthy free-roaming when alone. 🐾 Sensitive soul — loud voices or rough handling can scare him, so he needs a calm, patient home where he feels safe. Scooby Doo has shown his current foster what an amazing, loving companion he truly is. He’s ready for someone who will put in the effort to earn his trust and be rewarded with the sweetest, goofiest, most loyal friend. If you believe in second chances and want a best buddy who just wants to be loved, Scooby Doo is your guy. 💙 👉 Apply to meet Scooby Doo: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FLR-A-877
