Story
Hello! My name is Cassidy. I am around 3 years old and 67 pounds. I am a super sweet girl who enjoys getting a nice belly rub! I lean in for affection and accept all the pets! I like playing with toys and take treats gently. I already know sit too! I arrived at the shelter as a stray, so unfortunately not much is known about me, like if I get along with animals or how I do with children. That`s okay though, because we can learn these things together and so much more! The shelter does offer a Cuddle Before You Commit program to ensure I am the right fit for you! Please remember, slow and proper introductions are always best to set me up for success.**Please apply on our website at www.indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Go to the website, click on the adoption application link, enter the information and hit submit. Once you have submitted your application please visit the shelter to speak with a member of our adoption staff. You can include multiple animals you are interested in on one application.Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our FABULOUS PETS! We hope to see you soon,The IACS Adoptions Team.

Story
Meet Nile!??At just 2 years old, this 66lb Rottweiler’s heart is as big as his paws. He’s not the kind of dog who’s into toys or rough play—his favorite pastime is being loved on. Whether it’s nudging you with his head or licking your hand, he’s not shy about letting you know when it’s time for some head scratches. He even takes treats from you using his manners- polite and sweet. Nile is calm, affectionate, and loves nothing more than being close to his people. While he can be dog selective—preferring slow introductions and the right canine company—his true focus is on bonding with his humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s more into love than fetch, Nile might just be your perfect match. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@johnsoncounty.in.gov for an application. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can set an appointment to meet the pet!

Story
* Playful, active, smart, and ready to meet you!* Has mastered the `sad eyes` for his photo shoots to grab your attention* Doing well in foster care with dogs of all sizes and cats * Has not had very much training or exposure to things- can be timid and unsure of new people and places at first * Food motivated and eager to learn- knows the commands `sit` and `down`* Timid initially meeting other big dogs but he warms up then plays. Gently “paws” at his small doggie friends * Likes to be fed in his crate separately from other animals * Lived in a home with children as young as 3 prior to being surrendered with some `nipping` habits. An adult only home is being recommended for that reason TobyRottweiler mixMaleDOB: 4/10/2024Weight: 63.5 lbs.Heartworm NegativeToby`s adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing, and a free wellness exam.
