Meet Dozer! This good boy will make someone very happy. Dozer can be a little independent, yet does enjoy good scratches from his people. He appears to be a Rottweiler mix and guesstimated to be roughly two years old. He is very interested in sniffing, and would love to go on walks where he can fill his brain with all the good (and maybe not-so-good) smells!

He does not appear to be treat-driven, but did enjoy an occasional toy. This boy appears to be a good balance of independent yet appreciating his people, of happy and calm. He really lights up with his people!

Could you be Dozer’s “people”? If interested, please ask about Dozer and let him “Bulldoze” his way into your heart!

All adoptions come with 30-days of support from our staff to help make sure the transition from the shelter to your home goes as smoothly as possible.

All of our available animals and the adoption application can be found here: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Once you have submitted your application, please visit the shelter to speak with an Adoption Counselor and meet our available animals.

* Quickly won over the hearts of our volunteers and staff* Was very overwhelmed and scared when arriving at our shelter* Slowly adapting to shelter life- still a little scared and takes some time to adjust to new things* Seeks out attention and pets from her favorite people* Will even give up her belly for some rubs once you're in the bestie club* Knows how to sit on command and is ready to learn more tricks* Met dog friends slowly and tentatively, but wagged her tail the whole time* Greeted appropriately- would likely become more playful with time* Would likely benefit from a dog buddy that is a good mix of calm, yet playful* Fearful of cats and ignored them* Should do well in a home with respectful children that give her time to warm up and adjustValentinaRottweiler/Staffordshire Terrier mixFemaleDOB: 2/15/2023Weight: 38 lbs.Heartworm NegativeValentina's adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing, and a free wellness exam.
