Story
Zeus is a very sweet, 110-pound purebred Rottweiler. We purchased him from a breeder as a puppy. He is micro-chipped, AKC certified, and is not neutered, we intended to breed him with our female this summer. He is 4 years old, smart, very well-trained, and loves car rides. He is crate-trained and does not bark at all. He makes a great guard dog because he will growl when he hears someone outside the door. He loves being near his people and will try to be close to them if possible. Lately, he has not been getting along with 3 of our 4 other dogs so I am trying to find a new home for him. He is the alpha in our home and would do well in a home with no other dogs. He has never been around cats and little children, and my kids were in middle school when we got him.

Meet Dozer! This good boy will make someone very happy. Dozer can be a little independent, yet does enjoy good scratches from his people. He appears to be a Rottweiler mix and guesstimated to be roughly two years old. He is very interested in sniffing, and would love to go on walks where he can fill his brain with all the good (and maybe not-so-good) smells!

He does not appear to be treat-driven, but did enjoy an occasional toy. This boy appears to be a good balance of independent yet appreciating his people, of happy and calm. He really lights up with his people!

Could you be Dozer’s “people”? If interested, please ask about Dozer and let him “Bulldoze” his way into your heart!

All adoptions come with 30-days of support from our staff to help make sure the transition from the shelter to your home goes as smoothly as possible.

All of our available animals and the adoption application can be found here: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Once you have submitted your application, please visit the shelter to speak with an Adoption Counselor and meet our available animals.
