Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Chico is full of all the energy but loves to snuggle when it is time to wind down. Chico loves playing with any and all dogs who will play with him. He loves going on walks and to the dog park. He is a little shy with new people but once he is warmed up he is full of kisses. He is good with kids and cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Kobe is an exceptional dog. He is so good-natured, friendly, sweet, low key in one way, yet loves to go for a walk, or a trip to the dog park. Kobe is a steady eddy in terms of temperament, and he is responsive to direction and commands. He is crate-trained, although he doesn't need a crate, and potty-trained. Kobe is said to be around eight years old and about 100 lbs. Kobe looks like he could be menacing, but is just so friendly, we haven't seen any human aggression from him at all. Kobe came from a neglect/cruelty case, where believe it or not - the dogs were starving. Some kind advocates in KY got him out of that situation and plumped him up! He sure does love to eat! We are putting him on a reduced food intake and exercise to help him lose some weight, although he will always be a Big Boy, he does need to lose some weight for his overall health. Kobe does have Cushing's disease, so he will need to be on medication for that for the rest of his life. Kobe should not go to a home with cats but has shown very well with other dogs. Kobe would do best in a home with an active person who can give him the walks, dog park, and fun he had missed out on for years. He can live with other dogs, but no cats for Kobe. A fenced-in yard would be in his best interest, as he loves to be outside, truly loves to sit outside, even for hours, or go in and out quite a bit. If you live in the country and have some land and some if it is fenced, he would love that to the moon and back (but not mandatory). Let us know if you are interested in meeting this special boy. He has a special future, we can tell!  Interested in fostering or adopting? I am a fun-loving snuggle bug who loves my people. I am crazy about other dogs, I adore toys, and I like to get squeakers! I enjoy running around my foster family's yard and playing with the dogs. I am startled by loud noises and prefer to sleep in bed with my person, even though I hog the entire bed. I take treats super gently, and did I mention I love, love, love to snuggle! I am working on my manners and not pulling on the leash. I'm learning to leave it and to sit and wait when other dogs or people are approaching. The problem is I want to meet everyone and every dog I see. I also love to sniff. Sniffing is more interesting to me than treats! I am looking for the perfect active person or family with another dog to play with and keep me company when my people leave. Story
Introducing Reyna, the regal and affectionate Rottweiler mix who lives up to her name as the Queen of the Good Girls. Reyna is ready to reign supreme in her forever home, surrounded by love and care. Reyna's journey began when she was found on the highway, abandoned and in desperate need of help. Despite her challenging start in life, Reyna's resilience and loving nature shone through. She captured the hearts of those who discovered her, and her transformation began. This beautiful girl is a Rottweiler mix, displaying the distinctive markings and strong physique of her breed. While her exact mix may be a mystery, her gentle and loving demeanor sets her apart as a special companion. Reyna is best suited to a home with older kids who can understand and respect her needs. Although she is a sweetheart, her size and strength may be better suited to older children who can handle her with care. She is not compatible with cats, so a feline-free household is necessary. When it comes to her fellow canines, Reyna prefers larger dogs. A meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure compatibility and a harmonious living environment, however she can go to a family out of town who either has no others or an easy going dog. Reyna thrives on positive interactions and socialization, making her a wonderful companion for those with existing canine family members. This majestic girl is crate-trained and does not experience separation anxiety. She is comfortable spending time in her crate and will appreciate having a safe and cozy space to call her own. Reyna has already learned the simple trick of sitting for treats, showcasing her intelligence and willingness to please. Reyna has a list of favorite things that bring her joy. She relishes car rides, delighting in the wind blowing through her fur as she accompanies her family on their adventures. Rolling in the grass and exploring the neighborhood during walks are among her cherished pastimes. Reyna loves running and exercising her energetic nature, so an active lifestyle is essential for her well-being. When it's time to unwind, Reyna appreciates soft blankets and toys that provide comfort and entertainment. She adores spending time with her beloved humans, soaking up their affection and companionship. Reyna is a loyal and devoted companion, always ready to be by your side. While Reyna has her preferences, there are a couple of dislikes to note. She is not fond of cats, and water is not her favorite element. Understanding and respecting these preferences will help ensure a harmonious home environment for Reyna. Reyna's story is one of resilience and triumph over adversity. From her initial discovery, where she was found dumped on the highway, to her miraculous transformation into a loving and gentle soul, she has shown incredible strength and a capacity for love. If you're searching for a royal canine companion, Reyna is waiting to be crowned the queen of your heart and home. With her regal presence, gentle nature, and unwavering loyalty, she will bring immeasurable joy to your life. Welcome Reyna into your family, and let her reign over a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventures by your side. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
