Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Kobe is an exceptional dog. He is so good-natured, friendly, sweet, low key in one way, yet loves to go for a walk, or a trip to the dog park. Kobe is a steady eddy in terms of temperament, and he is responsive to direction and commands. He is crate-trained, although he doesn't need a crate, and potty-trained. Kobe is said to be around eight years old and about 100 lbs. Kobe looks like he could be menacing, but is just so friendly, we haven't seen any human aggression from him at all. Kobe came from a neglect/cruelty case, where believe it or not - the dogs were starving. Some kind advocates in KY got him out of that situation and plumped him up! He sure does love to eat! We are putting him on a reduced food intake and exercise to help him lose some weight, although he will always be a Big Boy, he does need to lose some weight for his overall health. Kobe does have Cushing's disease, so he will need to be on medication for that for the rest of his life. Kobe should not go to a home with cats but has shown very well with other dogs. Kobe would do best in a home with an active person who can give him the walks, dog park, and fun he had missed out on for years. He can live with other dogs, but no cats for Kobe. A fenced-in yard would be in his best interest, as he loves to be outside, truly loves to sit outside, even for hours, or go in and out quite a bit. If you live in the country and have some land and some if it is fenced, he would love that to the moon and back (but not mandatory). Let us know if you are interested in meeting this special boy. He has a special future, we can tell!  Interested in fostering or adopting? I am a fun-loving snuggle bug who loves my people. I am crazy about other dogs, I adore toys, and I like to get squeakers! I enjoy running around my foster family's yard and playing with the dogs. I am startled by loud noises and prefer to sleep in bed with my person, even though I hog the entire bed. I take treats super gently, and did I mention I love, love, love to snuggle! I am working on my manners and not pulling on the leash. I'm learning to leave it and to sit and wait when other dogs or people are approaching. The problem is I want to meet everyone and every dog I see. I also love to sniff. Sniffing is more interesting to me than treats! I am looking for the perfect active person or family with another dog to play with and keep me company when my people leave. Story
Hi, I'm Laura. I'm from Texas. From the foster: I am a sweet lady who loves going on walks! My foster mom is still getting to know me but she says I'm amazing with all humans especially the 11 year old in the house, I ignore the cats, and I love belly rubs! I like to nose dive to the ground and plop onto my back for itchies! Iove toys and can entertain myself throwing them around or playing tug with a human is fun too! I'm still figuring out ques from other dogs but with slow intros could do okay with another dog, i get along with the bulldog at foster moms house but am too exuberant for the other dogs...i seem like i just really want to play. I love chewing bones, am crate trained, and I have had ZERO accidents with foster mom. I'm a really good girl and can't wait to find my forever home! From her foster: Slow intros with other dogs are 100 percent necessary. Better with smaller dogs. From the Vet: "Hi! My name is Laura, I came into rescue in February of this year and I have had a few issues that took a while to resolve. My main issue was a problem with persistent vomiting. I was given supportive care to treat this while it was happening, but the vets did lots of testing to rule out certain illnesses like Addisons Disease. I started on a Hypoallergenic diet and steroid medication and I am now showing lots of improvement. I have also tapered off of the steroid, but we think it will be best for me to continue on this food life-long or discuss future diet changes with a primary care veterinarian. An allergy shot has also helped with some skin issues as well. I came with an ear infection that has since cleared up and I will need a dental surgery that can be scheduled with The Bond Between Vet Center after my adoption (or this will be scheduled in April if I have not been adopted yet) and this procedure will be covered by TBB." I'm so excited to meet you soon so I can settle into my furever home!"

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! I'm Lotti. I'm from Alabama! I'm probably the cutest little girl that you'll ever meet. I have a great personality too, really love to play! I've been learning a lot since I came to MN a little over a week ago. I've been learning to go outside to go potty so that I can treats. I'm very treat motivated! I've also been learning how to walk on a leash, which is so much fun. I can fetch a tennis ball and bring it back ten times in a row before I get distracted. I've also been learning that it's not polite to put my sharp little puppy teeth on people. Hey, I'm all puppy and I'm going to taste everything. I'm pretty decent at entertaining myself, although it might not always be with the things you want me to play with. From 6am to 6pm I'm a little angel. I'll sit in a fence pen with my toys and doggy bed and not bother you all day so that you can work. Just take me out in between meetings so that I can go potty (and get a yummy treat) and stretch my legs. From 6pm to 9pm I go into puppy mode. You'll have fun entertaining me. At 9pm I'm ready to hit the hay. I'll sleep in my crate and won't make a peep. I get along well with the dogs that I've met and I'm sure I'll get along with kids too. Just make sure they're old enough to understand that I'm teething and like to put my mouth on things, just to play. I'd love to find a home that has another dog that can run around with me all day, and a fenced in backyard would be awesome too! Come on over and meet me. I guarantee you'll fall in love with my kisses!

Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. Story
Hi, my name is Cassie. I’m a Rottweiler/Golden Retriever mix born 3/13/24. I am your typical adorable puppy. I love to play, chew, chew some more and nap. I live with my foster mom and dad, my human foster siblings that are 13, 16, 16, my foster dog sisters, Indy and Cricket AND my foster cat sister Pip. We like to play together, and I am learning a lot from them like walking on a leash, going to the door when I need to go outside and boundaries. I am a chunk and love to eat. I am adventurous and independent. Don’t let this fool you though, I am a big cuddler and extremely loyal. I’m doing pretty good with potty training. I am starting to understand going outside, letting my humans know if I need to go outside and going on my puppy pad. I sleep in my kennel at night with my sister Claire. I do pretty well with this, but may have a hard time adjusting at first being I have been sleeping next to my sister since the beginning. I have a great disposition and love everyone I meet. My foster mom always talks about what a great pup I am and that anyone who adopts me will be lucky to have me.  A doption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 18, 2024, 5:56 pm
