This gorgeous girl was brought to SICSA after her owner passed away, so we don’t have many details about her previous life. What we do know is that Sugar is a pretty typical Rottie: strong, smart, stubborn at times–but also incredibly sweet and loyal! She’s treat-motivated and intelligent, and, in the words of her favorite volunteer, “destined for a professional soccer career with the way she dribbles a ball and throws it around for herself.” Clearly, Sugar is a girl of many hidden talents! Say Hello to Kota! Kota is a 3-year-old intact male Boxer mix who is looking for a fresh start after arriving at the shelter through no fault of his own. We were told that Kota does well with children, cats, and other dogs. He is also housebroken and crate trained. His previous owners described him as a very loving dog who may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate personality shines through. Since arriving at the shelter, Kota has shown us that he knows commands such as sit and lay down. He enjoys treats and loves playing fetch with a ball. Kota is currently working on his leash manners and continues to make progress. He also doesn't seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Kota did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 60 lbs. where he was given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Our adoptions are $100 cash/local check only. Our visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331.
