And I am one of them, but I am THE CUTEST, tHE SMARTEST and the HAPPIEST of ALL of them :) Penelope is my name and it may be a little of challenge to spell it but there is no other challenge with me ;) I have been treated for my cherry eyes (no not like the topping of a sundae :) and my heart worms and now it is OUR TIME! So, as you can see I am a BIG BIG GUY(130#)!!! Like the German Rotties, I have a BIG old HEAD and a propensity to protect my people....... I need just the right home, no other dogs please. I was not socialized with other dogs while growing up and am a big boy and so introducing to other dogs is a challenge for the rescuers and therefore we are looking for a single dog home. I am a very typical rottie and was kept as a protector of the property. I LOVE my people and honestly would love to be a lap dog, lol, but I also need a couple or single who is a strong leader, who really understands my breed and who will assure that I stay safe and others do as well. Now, I have a sweet and loving side, and my friends love that about me ;) But look at my face, without my toothy grin, and you know they understand that I am a serious guy :) I love my peeps and am ready for just the right place. I can only be adopted in TX and HAVE to be met and introduced and spend time with me before the rescue will approve my adoption. So only the strong need apply!! You will get an AMAZING and DEDICATED and EXTREMELY LOYAL DOG! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Meet Winny, the new love of your life. Winny will love you right back with cuddles and being held. She loves kids and other dogs. Winny is a very excited greeter though, so a home with smaller children would need extra attention so she does not accidentally knock over a little one with her excitement. Winny also LOVES walks and car rides, but will definitely lead the way on a walk so she will need someone who can hold down the fort. So much love going around with Winny. When Winny is by herself at home it takes her a few minutes to calm in her crate, but she even sleeps in her crate, with the command "nap", at night to let you get your beauty rest. Speaking of commands, this smart little girl knows "sit" and "come". Squeaky toys are her favorite and Winny is potty trained like a big girl. Winny still needs a slow feeder for meals since she eats with gusto. Winny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Included in Winnys adoption are 3 free training sessions via Dayton Dog Den to help transition her into her new home!
