Beautiful, Mysterious, Self-Sufficient Ewa is a gorgeous lady who has had so much upheaval in her life. She was pregnant when she arrived at APA from another shelter and has been busy tending to her kittens ever since. We don’t know how life treated her in the past. But, given her cautious nature, we suspect she has never had a reason to trust people and was likely given many reasons not to. She needs a quiet home with gentle humans where she can decompress and discover there are people who are kind, reliable and on her side. Ewa is reserved and keeps to herself. She may let you briefly pet her soft coat, but is not comfortable at this point with affection and will sometimes scurry away. She will stay near if you are bringing her food...a good start! Ewa needs a patient person who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and blossom into her best self. There is a place in her heart just waiting for someone she can trust. Although she may be a little shy at fist, once she warms up, Kilburn will happily nuzzle beside you for affection, making her the purr-fect cuddle companion! Once this sweet girl feels comfortable with her new human friends, Kilburn’s playful side truly shines! This sweet kitty adores anything and all things playtime: whether that means chasing cat wands, batting around toys, or climbing to the top of her cat tree, Kilburn is always down for a good play session! Although most kittens tend to be rather rambunctious, Kilburn is rather observant for her age, as she was born as an observant little explorer who loves taking in the world from the top of her cat tree! Watching birds flutter by and butterflies outside the window is one of her favorite pastimes, but she also enjoys investigating cozy hiding spots around the house, like behind pillows, and will often curl up in a quiet little nook for a peaceful nap!
