Story
Luke is a deeply bonded, sensitive Shar-Pei who forms very strong attachments to his person. He is loving, loyal, and people-oriented, and thrives when he has consistent human presence and a predictable routine. He is best suited for a home where someone is home most of the day (retired, work-from-home, or very flexible schedule) and where departures are minimal or gradual. A calm, patient environment is important for him to feel safe. Luke is affectionate and very attached to his people. He seeks reassurance through proximity and does best with a steady, confident handler who understands anxious or “velcro” dogs. He is not aggressive and has not shown bite behavior. Due to my current life circumstances and home situation, I am no longer able to safely meet Luke’s emotional needs or manage his anxiety in a way that is healthy for either of us. I am committed to a responsible, transparent transition so he can be placed in a home better suited for his needs.

I have had a good life so far, filled with belly rubs, walks, and naps in sunny spots. But now, due to changes in my life, I'm looking for a new forever home. I'm calm, curious, and loyal. Once I bond with you, I will be your shadow. I enjoy quiet time, short walks, and I am learning to be more social every day. I am house-trained, up to date on my shots, and I do best in a home where I can be the only pet or with someone who understands my breed & unique personality. This isn't a goodbye & a new chapter. Honey (she goes by Dolce, but we have another dog also with that name) came from a home with far too many dogs that overwhelmed the owner. Honey is 50 pounds, is recently spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is a typical female, who can get a little growly around strangers poking and prodding (not a fan of the vet but manageable), but has lived with other dogs and kids with no issues. Her coat has cleaned up nicely with good food and some short-term antibiotics. Honey is the princess, preferring inside to out (she is completely housetrained, but just doesn't want to hang out in the yard otherwise). She is quiet, not a big barker and likes to give kisses and hugs. Honey is fostering in the Indio, California area. Story
Daisy is an amazing female shar-pei, who grew up with a family that socialized her with other dogs, kids and even cats.   She is used to hanging out with the family.   Sadly, the family lost their housing and Daisy is looking for a family that she can have more fun with. Daisy is described as playful, energetic, friendly and affectionate, but she can also be quiet, shy and nervous.  She was used to sleeping on the bed, but would adjust to a dog bed if needed.   She has been to the dog park, does pull a little on the leash (her last vet appointment clocked her at 33 pounds so may be manageable),  and knows how to use a dog door.  She isn't a fan of mailmen and would prefer to walk over car rides.   She isn't a jump over the gate/fence, doesn't counter surf for human food, isn't a digger and only barks at people at front door...practically perfect! Daisy loves to be outside and is said to be very loyal to her people - could that be you? Daisy is fostering in south Riverside County, CA.  She is spayed and will be up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.    January 13, 2026, 8:09 pm
